Affordable hotel with large rooms, views of the surroundings from higher floors, nice breakfast, and efficient and friendly staff. Fairly close to airport. The hotel can make arrangements for an airport pick up (driver with sign). The same safe (white) taxis are parked in front of the hotel and can take you downtown and elsewhere and pick you up again if you contact the driver on whats app or throught the reception. La Candalaria takes 20 minutes by taxi (it’s a long, trafficked and uncharming walk from the hotel, probably not super safe). 35 minutes by car to Usaquen.
There is an exchange shop just around the corner (turn right outside the hotel lobby, turn right at first corner, and walk one block) and you can buy sim cards in the mini supermarket across the street (turn left going out of the hotel, half a block down on the opposite side of the street). Good to stock up on both for your full trip in Colombia unless you plan on visiting a mall in one of the other larger cities.
