The property suffers from significant underinvestment, leading to a noticeable decline in standards. It is poorly maintained and desperately in need of an overhaul. The bedroom facilities are outdated and deteriorating, with crumbling fixtures and old infrastructure, such as hairdryers, that have long since broken and been removed. The towels are old and fraying, adding to the sense of neglect. The bathrooms are in dire need of renovation; they are unacceptable for a hotel of this calibre.
It seems the hotel owners have heavily invested in the adjacent luxury tower, leaving the original hotel neglected and in disrepair. The high ratings could be for the luxury tower next door, owned by the same group.
That said, the beach is exceptional, truly one of the best.
