Pros:
- Great location, about 20-30 minute walks to most quarters and attractions
- For being so central, the room was very quite and had a good bed
- Nice shower
- Very nice check-in and friendly service from the reception
Cons:
- Odd design of bathroom amenities. The toilet is in what looks like a closet with a sliding door and because of that the door doesn’t seal any smells. We might have been a little unlucky because we could smell the sewer when facing the bathroom in our bed.
- The sink is in the room next to the bed.
- The shower is in a separate room, but the glass door opens outward into the room resulting in water dripping/flowing out onto the floor in the bedroom.
- Hooks on the doors are the cheap plastic kind with “glue” and kept falling off.
Overall, we are split about this hotel. I wouldn’t call this a 4-star hotel, but rather a higher end 3-star hotel. They have all the amenities, but the room had so many odd quirks and clear band-aid solutions for the furniture that I wouldn’t consider it 4-star standard. Aside from the odd quirks, the location and room fits well for a weekend trip. And also, I must add that the service and check-in was one of the friendliest I’ve encountered.
