Not impressed.
- A vegetarian burger consisting of a bun, salad and another bun. It really doesn't.
- Inflexibility and incompetence in regards to changing rooms and moving people around. Front desk staff were sometimes really, really bad at understanding simple questions.
- Variety in answers to questions. "No, sir, we can't open the room without talking to the person who lives in it, even though we know they're from your group and you paid.". This AFTER we had done exactly that twice before. ;-)
- An almost empty hotel that still tried to charge us to use meeting facilities for one meeting. With about 10 rooms for a week, that would have been smart to comp. Not a problem, just a lack of smart thinking.
- The F&B manager not being aware of deals on the hotel's facebook page. The F&B manager trying to convince us that a "three-course-meal" meant a dish with three different things (meat, salad, potatoes). It doesn't.
- Not being able to see who is actually checked in (because of... I don't know... bad tech? incompetence? weird systems?). VERY annoying, when collecting a group from different places.
All in all. Not impressed. And when trying to cancel rooms on the last night (where we decided to do an all-nighter in Dubai instead), hotels.com said yes, but the hotel said no. That sucks.
