Review of Holiday Inn in Wells, Maine
Let’s start with the good stuff: Juan and the entire staff were super polite, and the place was spotless—probably the cleanest Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. The room was in great shape and very comfortable, so no complaints there.
Now, the shady part—their cancellation policy wasn’t disclosed before I booked. It showed up only after I received my confirmation. I canceled my reservation for May 12 at the start of the week, and I thought that was the end of it. But then, on May 15, I get hit with a charge. Turns out, they waited two days after I canceled to charge me, which feels a little sketchy—like waiting until after the deadline to hit you with a bill. Why the delay?
As a platinum member who's done business with them for years, I expected better treatment. Charging me days after I canceled, especially when the stay was supposed to be on May 12, just doesn’t sit right.
Long story short: great service, but I won’t be staying here again. This isn’t the Holiday Inn I knew—it's more like a shady motel. Sorry, not sorry.
