"The Car Park was large and easy to access, with well marked bays. The Hotel room, beds and bed linen were very clean and comfortable... as were all of the corridors and areas leading to the accommodation. The Breakfast Buffet had a comprehensive range of options BUT due to the Hotel being very busy on the Sunday, items either ran out or cold... however, on the Monday (when there were very few guests), my order was taken by the member of staff looking after the Breakfast service and soon presented freshly cooked and plated... which was excellent."

"No parking . Their own parking across the road was £10 per night. The breakfast let our stay down. The staff repeatedly got the orders wrong and the cooked breakfast was very poor quality. I don’t recommend the vegetarian breakfast. The lamps on the tables need removing as they are at eye level and you can’t see each other! "

Holiday Inn Express Hull City Centre by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Hull City Centre by IHG

6/10 Okay
"There were some real pros & cons at this rather barebones hotel. Pros: The location is great, right next to Paragon Hull Rail & Bus Station and very convenient to Old Hull, The Quay, Museum Quarter, Minster, etc. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The shower is powerful and provides good hot water and pressure. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful/efficient. Cons: There is no power outlet near the bed or nightstands. For a CPAP user like me this is not good. Fortunately, I brought a surge protector with a 6’ cord but the cord ran across the carpet at the foot of the bed. No room safe for valuables/passport, etc. No closet or dresser which was actually helpful when checking that nothing was left behind. The sofabed was dingy and worn like the carpet. There was visible mildew in the shower. The floor wasn’t vacuumed in the 3 days I stayed. There was a nylon tag cord that was there when I arrived and stiil there now. The cooked breakfast was mediocre. The scrambled eggs were tasteless and watery like powdered eggs. One of the 2 lifts was out of service which made for some long waits."
