Lovely staff, however the rooms need some TLC. Appreciate when you paying cheap you are not expecting anything fancy, but the soap dispenser was broken in the bathroom and replaced with a bottle of "bath soak". Walls are paper thin, bed was hard and we found a nail on the floor. If you are hardy and want a cheap location near the beautiful national park, you will be fine, but bring your own supplies.

Tired, run down. Did make me slightly nostalgic I suppose, remembering the 1980s with the food and decor. The very few Staff that were there (if you could find them) were lovely, but I couldn’t overcome the feeling that the place had been deserted and left to rot. Breakfast near inedible but evening meal was ok. Nonetheless, not terrible value for money.

Looking in need of a good makeover, old carpets and tired looking. The mattress in our double room had springs you could constantly feel and a dip in the middle. There was also a frequent sound of running water like a drainpipe outside our room but it's wasn't raining. Pipes in other rooms running through ours?

The checking was easy & staff were friendly, The room is up 2 flights of stairs, it is very dated & could do with some tlc. The walls had splatter & marks where something had run down them & the bathroom was dirty in the corner. We couldn't get any hot water from the taps so used the kettle which didn't turn itself off. The toilet seat is so cheep that it bends when you sit on it. although the bedding was clean. The window cill had been burned with a cigarette by the look of it & outside the paint was peeling off.

Not a great place to stop off, the rooms are very noisy, all night people walking to their rooms can be heard in your room as the floorboards make a horrendous sound. Also the hotel fans can be heard from your room all night. The bed is very uncomfortable and lumpy with springs making noises when you move, also when your partner moves the whole bed moves too. There’s only a skeleton staff on and one in particular done our checking in, our drinks, our food and breakfast the next day. This is poor management the poor girl was exhausted. The outside decking area is damaged and dangerous and to top it off the neighbours were playing loud music so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. Not recommended. Wouldn’t stay there again

Hospitality amazing!!

The hospitality was second to none Morgan, micheal and Ethan are amazing!! The hotel needs attention from the owner no tvs working and a leak in my mums room but the staff are second to none and made our stay priceless. They need a pay rise for the amount of hard work they do!!

Hotel was nice and clean and the staff were very attentive. The only issue we had was no hot water in bath or basin but shower was lovely and hot. The issue was dealt with very efficiently by staff as soon as we told them. Breakfast was very good value at just £7.50 pp which included cooked breakfast, toast, cereal, juice plus unlimited tea and coffee.

Hiking in the hills.

Firstly, the staff were very friendly and nice to meet. The hotel is quite basic which is fine but my only irritation is how badly the floors creak. I was woken up by the creaking floors from next door from 7am. I understand this can sound fussy but it really is an issue, I wore ear plugs but I could still hear the sound of the floors creaking. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

Arrived at hotel, no one on reception rang bell.in end had to go and search ! Appreciate that it may have been busy as there was a wedding reception, room ok apart from bin not been empty, and noise from bathroom fan! And had problems with electric key! Nice meal in restaurant and helpful staff!

Checked in and when we returned a few hours later the room had been allocated to someone else so we were moved. Then came back the second night and key would not work so again had to return to reception to get it sorted. Comfortable enough but very tired looking and very noisy, creaky floorboards and sounded like the next people were in your room.

We stayed for one night overnight at the hotel and can honestly say it was just basic. The condition of the room was not great, as we soon discovered the lightning did not work properly and the kettle in the room was dysfunctional (reported) The bathroom was clearly in need of renovation as the flooring which was used to cover the sides of the bathtub was peeling away. The window blinds had portions missing and the curtains were hanging off. We also noted a strong draught from the window but could not see where it was coming from as it was a double glazed unit. The breakfast was basic, it was all self service and they had run out of certain basic items such as coffee and I had to report the bread they were serving was actually mouldy. The staff were polite but overworked, as the young man on reception on the following morning was also the cook for breakfast! On the evening of arrival I had to report the key card was not working and had to wait for almost 10 minutes for staff to appear back at reception and witnessed a man shouting at someone from an office area in the back of the reception. Not what I’d call great professional behaviour 🙄

The property is a bit dated, but very clean. We ate at the onsite restaurant which was welcome. Good was warm and plentiful. Hubby really loved the carvery. We had a mix up over breakfast - we didn’t realise you had to order it the previous evening - but the manager was wonderful and had prepared everything anyway. Restaurant was quite loud (I think there was a large family in) but the hotel itself was quiet overnight. The shower water was lovely and hot, and we appreciated the tea and coffee supplies in the room. Would stay there again.
