Overall good stay but some disapointments
The hotel is well located, near Al Jahili Fort which is walking distance.
The renovated rooms are great, modern, spacious and very clean. We were given an upgrade on the pool view, however with both restaurants below it was quite noisy at night.
The breakfast offers a very large choice of options and the food was good.
We were a bit dissapointed on a couple of points:
- we had booked a king size bed and were given a twin room by the reception, they said there were no more availability on the king size bed but we were not informed in advance
- we stayed on the national holiday weekend and throughout the weekend the hotel was installing their christmas tree just close to the pool, which lasted the whole 3 days, I belive this could have been done prior to a long weekend as it is quite annoying for the guests
- we asked for a non-smoking room but some guests were smoking on their balcony and we could smell the cigarette in our room almost the whole stay
- even thought having done a pre-payment for this booking, the hotel charged us by mistake during our stay and we had to go and ask the reception for a reimbursment
