The Longchamp Hotel is a jem. There is nothing but positive things to say. Hebba and her staff are welcoming, attentive, helpful and just plain nice! Everyone mentions the breakfast but it is truly excellent, with good variety for everyone’s needs and well laid out in a lovely environment. A lovely calming atmosphere away from the madding crowd!

A hotel feels like home
Hotel longchamps cairo feels like home. Our room was the right size, bed very comfortable, stylish floor lamp and curtain, very quiet so we could sleep well. Nice dining room, balcony and lounge. Hotel is on the fifth floor of a building with security guard in a safe neighborhood. We used Uber to visit places in Cairo and Giza at very low price. We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent choice.
Excellent choice, really pleased we chose to stay here. Very clean, well chosen / v good condtion furniture in room. Very spacious breakfast room, lovely furniture and objects there; or can eat on the balcony. Really good to see the mid-century furniture in museum condition in the many spaces around the hotel. As well as other interestg and high quality objects. Very interesting area of Cairo to stay in, rare to see so many large old houses in good condition. Zemalek is a monied area but plenty of reasonably priced places go eat as well as others to have a tea/snack and watch Cairo's rich.

2-day stay
Great place to relax and rewind after exploring, what for me is a rather chaotic, Cairo. The staff helped us to book both airport pickup and train tickets as well as advise us on the local area. Extremely helpful and made our trip so much easier. The area around is calm, for Cairo at least, and we were able to walk around in the evenings finding restaurants with a nice view of the Nile and a movie theatre. The breakfast was good with toast, eggs, sausage, fruit and more. Also non-lactose milk which was a big plus for me. In the afternoon you can relax on the terrace with a drink or a beer. If you want a place to breath and a very helpful staff, I would definitely recommend hotel Long champs.

More of a pension which could be charming, but needs upgrading pillows, mattresses, air conditioner (which is v. loud), boiling water in bathroom needs to be adjusted so a shower is possible, and better internet. Breakfast was fair with a variety of breads and fruits. Staff was friendly.

Not a 4 star hotel
It is an old hotel with a nice room. When we got to the hotel, we though we were in the wrong place. It is located in an old 5 floor building with some VERY old elevator (dont book if you are afraid of elevator/claustrofobic). The room was nice and big but there is some space for improvement (e.g., floor tiles were irregular, dirty air conditioner). Breakfast is quite limited for europeans/ocidental standards. Receptionist was very friendly and helped us to find the best tour guide in Cairo

Breakfast is very basic, not tasty at all. Staffs seemed to be indifferent & not at all helpful or friendly. The glass sliding door facing the main road in the room couldn’t be locked due to malfunction. Was concerned of security at night & asked the staff to fix it. The staff superficially agreed but nothing was done. The patronising & irresponsible attitude were unbearable. Didn’t get a good night sleep. The hotel is hidden on the 5th floor of a dingy building. Need to take an old & shabby wooden lift to get up. Feel uncomfortable throughout the stay.
