The moment we arrived we were welcomed in as we were able to check in early because our room was ready. Jason let us settle in and then broke down the city for us based on transportation we were doing and what we liked. He also was able to provide us with a map of the whole island. We slept great in the room. We had a view out to the harbor and were able to sleep with our window open which was lovely. The size of the room was perfect and cozy. The next morning we had complimentary welsh breakfast and it tasted delicious! Only thing we missed was the WiFi password because it was downstairs in the dinning hall and not in our info binder. Other than that everything was perfect and if we ever come to the area again we will definitely be staying here!!
It was ok,for 1 night rooms very small and bed not very comfortable, but breakfast was excellent and staff very happy and very good service.
Room was ok for one night, very small for three people, au suite was so small you couldn't clean your teeth never mind shower properly, No handle on the inside of the door to it, so couldn't close the door. No fire escape.
Quaint, clean, and accommodating. We had a great stay at this sweet B&B. Great conversation and recommendations from the host. We wouldn’t have given Holyhead a second look except we were catching the ferry over to Dublin. It’s a small room but perfect for a one or two night stay. Easy access to the ferry terminal and all the town has to offer.
The Beach House was very convenient to the ferry terminal for us. The room was very well decorated and clean. Breakfast was lovely and Jason our host very friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the room was very small and us being on the large side found it difficult in a double bed against the wall. A hint too if you are on foot and arrive at 6.30 pm as we did we found walking distance eateries closed so missed dinner. A meal on the ferry might be a good idea.
The reason for our scores is ..we WERE highly recommended to stay at the Beach Hut.. We were going to stay elsewhere for the 2 nights. No one at the property to greet us..Made a phone call on the number on the door ..it was around 6.30 pm. We arrived from overseas. lucky we had bought a UK SIM card or we would have been stuck. Nice gentleman arrived around 10/15 mins later..he was apologetic ..he was at another venue preparing for a function for the next night that we were staying.. Room was virtually like a box room, one thin pillow each, no support for head/neck..no one to ask for more.. Very difficult to use the tiny sink to even clean ones teeth..a glass shelf above was obstructing .. Next day we went out came back in the afternoon and the room had not been touched..no clean towels..left a note kindly asking if we could have extra pillows for our 2nd night.. Rang the number once again ..twice ..and no answer left 2 msgs..no replies..then sent a txt ..no reply ..very disappointed .. On our 2nd morning we had been awake for hours and had plans to check out by 9.30.. Breakfast was 8.30.at 8 am and had no shower, no towels.. My husband went down stairs thinking someone would be in the cafe area preparing breakfast stayed for 10 minutes but no sign ..came back to the room then went back down for 8.30..he was greeted by the same lovely gentleman , asked why no replies to our msgs..we were not compensated in anyway..No compensation offered .😞
Very welcoming hosts who couldn’t help enough Location handy to town, restaurants/ pubs and ferry terminal Good breakfast, free wifi and a “ picnic packed when we had to leave early f9r the Dublin ferry.
We stop here an overnighter before taking the ferry to Ireland .. very friendly and accommodating host - qwerky en-suite but did the job fine - nice spot
Absolutely amazing in every way. Short taxi ride (3 pounds) from the ferry. The hosts are the nicest people. Went above and beyond to be accommodating. Rooms have just been redone and some have lovely ocean views. Breakfast was home cooked and delicious. We’ve already recommended to family and friends and we will absolutely stay there again on out next trip.
This is a cafe and guest house. The cafe has been redecorated and has event and themed evenings as well as being a daytime cafe. The guest house is still a work in progress - carpets coming in November and much painting needs to be done, so don't expect the Ritz. Rooms are small but ok if just passing through but a bit of a squash if staying a while, limited storage. Cafe was good for breakfast.
