Apartment City Lenaustraße - contactless check in

The place could have been great but... Don't expect help if you have any problems. The check-in machine worked fine. But after having climbed 5 floors with heavy luggage and no lift, we were met by a smell of smoke, though supposedly a non smoking room. We slept bad and woke up at 4 am where the light flooded in through the skylight windows with no curtains and no blinds. We tried to address this by email, as this is the only way to contact management. But we got no answer, no comments. We had to buy our own air fresheners, leave all windows open, and buy some cardboard to cover the windows. The room was otherwise nice and modern, but the management don't seem to care to much about clients. I think that as a minimum they could have answered our email, as there are no staff at the property... We were not impressed...

Although the structure is nice, it is not 100% convenient as there is no elevator in the building, If you're not lucky to have an apartment at base floor, it could be an every-day challenge (especially if you travel with heavy luggage)

I had quite high hopes for the property as photos were really promising! Only nice thing about the hotel was the bathroom, except we were given 1 roll of very thin toilet paper for 2 people staying for 4 nights! Room was extremely small for 2 people. Beds were horrible, I had sleeping dents in the mattress and my husband was poked by springs! Pillows were really bad as well... Could not leave window open as it was towards the "air shaft" and sometimes people were smoking there or talking/having a party at night. To be honest, I would not stay there again...

Everything was as expected, except that the website says free parking...led me to believe there was a place the hotel had to park your car. The street parking was free, but it was only by luck that I was able to find a close spot.

Loved the automated checkin system. Clean and nice place to stay

The apartment was spacious, in clean condition and well set out. The view from the window was a building site but this did not affect us as we were not there much during daylight hours. Location is convenient for public transport & a 15 min walk to the city centre. Good value for the cost.
