The Wilds at Salmonier River

Staff were excellent, heated pool was perfect for the kids when it got chilly outside in the evening. Food at the restaurant was great! Newly renovated rooms were nice.

We had a beautiful stay at the wilds. We didn't go for the golf, just a night away. Supper was lovely as was breakfast. Grandkids loved the pool. It was very relaxing. Of course it wasn't busy so noise level was low. Don't know how it would be on a busy night as there is no carpet on the floors and the sounds do carry!

The Executive Cottage is ideal for a private gathering without having to deal with noisy neighbours. It has a fire pit and large garden which was great for backyard activities. The cottage is a bit dated and there's only one bathroom on the bottom floor which isn't convenient when the 3 sleeping rooms are on the main floor. It could definitely use an update throughout. I also noticed that there's a gap in the wall between two of the sleeping rooms so you could hear everything in the other room. The other negative about our stay at The Wilds is that the pool at the hotel was closed for cleaning on Monday, which was a holiday for the long weekend. We were planning to use the pool with our kids (group of 12) but was told that due to over usage on the weekend, the pool needed to be cleaned and it would take most of the day for the chemicals to work. Instead of sticking around, we packed up and checked out early.

There are walking trails, golf, a nice pool with warm water. It was a fun stay.

We stayed here for a wedding. The venue was lovely. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the water temperature in the shower. Went from hot to cold on its own. I’m sure it was a random issue.

The hotel is under renovations and only half of the hotel’s rooms are renovated. The room we were given was unfortunately not renovated and was very dated. It was a king size room, which we paid more for and the room was very small and should of only had a double bed. The carpets were stained and curtains were faded. There was a joining room with a wide gap under the door that you could actually see light from the room next door. The people in the next room could be heard very easily, and we felt we had to actually whisper for them not to hear our conversations. The staff were very friendly and the outside was beautiful, but unfortunately we were very disappointed in our room.
