Tofino Motel Harborview

We stayed in a pet friendly room on the main floor. Loved that they provided towel and bowls and a little treat for my doggy. The room was simple but the beds were good and the two chairs in the room were really comfortable for reading. There is a small patio with two chairs and a nice harbour view we very much enjoyed. It is very close to many restaurants and shops, the town itself is small so this motel is walking distance to everything in town. If you are looking to stay in town in Tofino I would definitely recommend, the staff are very friendly and the price is good and it was a comfortable stay!

We had a lovely view of the harbour. The room was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfy and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room rate was amazingly affordable! What a gem!

We have stayed here a couple of times before and enjoyed our previous visits. However, this year we felt very unwelcome. When we booked in we were told to keep clear of any locals in the town as they didn’t like tourists. We also knew not to go to the co-op for any supplies. When we found most of the beach access was closed, the only open beaches were jam packed, and we couldn’t find anywhere clean to eat, we felt we had no choice but to cut our trip short and leave a day early. I had no expectation that the hotel would charge us a further $175, plus $8 in taxes (!!) for a night we didn’t stay there. I appreciate the hotel are not responsible for Covid restrictions, but having worked in a remote tourism business and in hospitality for many years, I know the importance of customer service around aspects that may not be wholly in your control. If a visitor to Tofino cannot enjoy the beaches or the town, there is little draw, and a hotel owner should be sympathetic to this. We are locals from Vancouver Island, who decided to spend our hard-earned Covid dollars on a staycation, to support local businesses. Instead we felt commoditized as the number of visitors (many seeming to be out of province and out of country) was overwhelming. We decided our presence in the community was unhelpful, given the pandemic, and decided to leave early, and were penalized for it. Very sad.

To the town and an easy walk to coffee shop, grocery, pharmacy and restaurants

Very updated good furniture and price is reasonable.

Clean, bright rooms in a beautiful location overlooking Tofino harbour. The staff were great. Thanks to Andrea and Roman at the front desk for their flexibility and help dealing with our complicated logistical situation (luggage storage, adjacent rooms etc.).

Excellent check in and out policy with Covid 19 in place. Friendly staff. Great view and clean.
