Breakfree Imperial Surf

General facilities are well maintained but rooms are not. They are dirty and in desperate need of maintenance.

The location was great, patrolled beach across the road and easy walk to Cavil Mall. The view from our room was amazing and kids enjoyed the pool. Our room was very dated and had a few maintenance issues.

Our stay was great! Our accomodations were what we anticipated and our favourite front desk gal was eager to help us at every request. She even had me sign up for the hotels loyalty program, Mantra.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We stayed here after I had hand surgery following a serious motor vehicle accident. We own a very tall car and after discussion decided that it would not fit under the beam of the car park. After discussing this with reception we arranged to park our car in the visitors car park. As well as being legally blind (I have a white cane) I had my arm in a sling. As I have a disability parking permit we parked in the allocated car space. (Which to our horror was labelled INVALID parking! HAHA)To get into our car I need to use a stool and therefore need a wider than average car space to accomodate my injury. We told reception where we had parked to which she rudely said “this space is for people with a disability, you will need to move your car as other people may want to park there”. Normally I would never use a disabling car space if there was only one however I think we were more than in need. She was EXTREMELY rude and wouldn’t listen to our explanation. We stayed in unit 20C. The unit was quite dirty, the toilets had quite a strong odour of urine and the furniture was falling apart! On top of this, the hotel changes TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS HOLDING DEPOSIT. It took 5 days to get it back. We have travelled extensively both overseas and within Australia and we were horrified with this accomodation. We were informed one morning by a tenant that there had been an evacuation order of the whole building that we knew nothing about.
