This resort had good facilities which were comfortable clean and very accessible within thecomple the. Location was close to many other facilities . there was an interesting historical element to the name . Highly recommend for great value. Ideal for families

Substandard room

Thought I booked a standard room queen but was put in disabled room really basic for what the price was

Decent accommodation for a decent rate. If your plans are to drive round the Hunter all day and then in the evening you just want a few drinks in the evening at a local eatery (pub with bistro onsite), or elsewhere, and plan to just use the accommodation to put your head down or chill out for a bit, then this place is great. Rooms are a little bit dated, so if you’re looking for a retreat type of place with all the bells and whistle’s, then look elsewhere.

Disappointing

The room was absolutely filthy. The bed head was Covered in dust , dirt grime. The top of the bedhead had not been cleaned in years so much dust. Room completely covered in mosquitoes which attacked us all night. Air conditioner smelt mouldy. The only goid thing was that the shower was hot although it was a shower bath and not a walk in shower as advertised when i booked it. We had an 11am checkout , but we left at 8.30 am because we couldn't wait to get out of there. Will never stay there again which is a shame because we have stayed there a few times and it was great. Unfortunately its really gone down hill.

Great little family accomodation with pool and tennis court. Brewery on site with bistro so you can have a beer or wine and not have to drive home.

This is a great location for anyone looking to get to the vineyards or visiiting family and friends in the area. The rooms are a good size and well presented, clean and maintained. The only let-down we had was on arrival where we were checked in and given our key but no information about the facilities, the restaurant and brewery next door or anything about the region. Not a major issue but did see us not discover the pool until our third night, or realise that there were laundry facilities on site (which meant we spent a lot more than we needed to using the laundromat in town). If you get a room with a connecting door to the room next door, you will hear everything they are saying (and they'll hear you too) which resulted in us having to ask people to be quiet after 1030... There is an after hours number for those that might not be comfortable confrinting people but the number is clearly identified as being for emergencies only...not sure that noisy neighbours qualify... We would stay here again.
