Excellent value for the money downtown Sofia, Bg

My trip was amazing! Everything the hotel offers: perfect location, very clean, new interior and facilities, outstanding service in all details, very friendly staff, luxury car transportation from/to the airport, a fitness facility, underground garage, bunch of excellent bars and restaurants around 3 to 8 minutes away (I would mention Grozd, Shtastlivetza, Chef's Live, Arbat). It is located in 5 - 10 minutes walk from the main touristic, historic, architectural and administrative focal points of the city. A nice garden or park is across the street. Finally, the hotel has an own restaurant with excellent drinks! The hotel is not large, offers good privacy and calm atmosphere: just downtown but quite silent. The Crystal Palace helped me organizing all my busyness trips and meetings, as well as to relax well between these. I regret I was only for five business days there - for sure spending the weekend there would be a good bonus for travelling business people.

I highly recommend this hotel!!

A friend and I have been traveling for over a month in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey and Egypt. Some of our hotels were delightful and others left much to be desired. We didn’t know what to expect at this hotel in Sofia Bulgaria. It was our great pleasure to stay in the Crystal Palace. Our room was spacious, quiet, beautifully decorated, very clean and we noticed the hotel has great attention to details. The breakfast buffet is widely varied and exceptionally good. We ate in the restaurant one evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Great hotel in stellar location

I’ve stayed at the Crystal Palace twice and both stays were excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is very good, and it has one of the best locations in Sofia in a nice neighborhood right across from one of the city’s best parks. It’s also just a few minutes’ walk from the Alexander Nevsky cathedral and the St. Sofia Church.

Great hotel in Sofia

This is a gem of a hotel in probably the best neighborhood in Sofia. Excellent service and super location. Our room was clean, quiet and well maintained. The hotel is very central, so you can walk to almost all the main sights in downtown Sofia.

I was prepared to write a most amazing review of this aspiring boutique hotel near Sofia center, but was disappointed with a surprise price hike upon check-in, though I had pre-paid through Expedia. The charge was 20 Euro for my wife, though their website confirmed that it is only a 7 Euro for 2nd adult, and even so, Expedia specified a lesser 5 Euro for 2nd adult. This was a non-breakfast reservation, and though we paid for a 2nd adult, we were still only provided a single set of towels & bathrobe. The price that the staff assured me I would pay during check-in, including the 2nd adult extra charge of 7 Euro (as specified on their website), unfortunately, changed back to 20 Euro upon my check out. We were in a rush to catch an early morning 06:00 flight, so paid without going into details again. The same manager and receptionist were still there, and assured us of the ‘politics’ of the situation. We used the hotel room for a total of 7 hours for our Sofia layover, and though it was nice, and the money disputed was not much, the ‘politics’ of the situation were quite disappointing.

Business stay

Breakfast was good. Gym is one of the biggest and more complete for downtown hotels even though is relatively small-medium size
