Disappointed and tired hotel
We stayed for 3 nights and were blown away by the view; however disappointed by a few things.
The pool beds and outdoor restaurant seats are budget. For the price you pay you expect better loungers to hang out on. They also need more loungers by the pool. It no where near accommodated for half the guests. The towels and bed linen were very scruffy. The bed cover was falling apart. We had the up and high room and loved the jacuzzi area but there’s zero privacy - which is true of 99% of places on the caldera side. We were expecting eco luxe with the name of the hotel but it wasn’t anything luxe. The restaurant dinner was lovely. Service in general was slow and I think it could be due to staff working 12 hours shifts in the blaring heat. One waiter complained and looked like he’d been on a three day bender.
We loved the village and highly recommend over Fira or Oia.
Overall a big disappointment for the price we paid. The place and staff are tired. It needs to be more natural to meet up to the name.
