Started great by ended bad
It started fine but ended bad. We had to get the keys to the hotel room in the bar downstairs.
The last day we left to go for a walk around 10 and got back 12:55. Our door was not locked and there had been cleaning. One of our iPhone chargers had been taken. This made us very uncomfortable staying at the hotel and we actually left at 4 in the morning after because of this.
The hotel staff called the cleaning lady and had us talk to her. This made us uncomfortable also because that should not be our job. It could have been anyone who’d been into our room so we didn’t want to accuse her of anything.
But it was still not okay that our door was unlocked. This is how a hotel makes you feel unsafe. We talked to the staff again after the cleaning lady and they didn’t do anything after this.
The hotel room was pretty big which was nice but not super clean. The ceiling in the bathroom had brown spots and looked like mold. We had booked a king size bed but it was two single beds that kept moving from each other and it was hard as a rock.
The bar downstairs was really really noisy and we couldn’t sleep until 1-2 at night. We know people are on vacation and should enjoy themselves but it was unbearable. So if you don’t like a lot of noise then don’t stay here.
The location was perfect if you want to be in the middle of Riomaggiore. So that was nice.
