Excellent hotel. Fantastic location and view. Lovely to stand/sit on the balcony and take in the view. Ours was partly sea. We could see the mountains and the marina too.
Nice beds with plenty of sheets, pillows etc. The toilet could have been a bit cleaner. Most areas was clean, but there were spots that had not been touched for some time. I.e the toiletseat look dirty, due to miscoloring. It was clean - but looked a bit old. Had to ask for towels one day, as cleaning had taken all for cleaning, without leaving new ones.
The area and general vibe was excellent.
The hotel shop, The Surf Town, needs special mention. Skate/surf inspired, while also having towels, jewelry and more. The clothes was excellent quality, uniquely ‘streetcool’ and fair priced, for a hotelshop. We bought a lot there. Volcom, Hurley, Billabong T-shirts, Von Dutch caps, clippers and a lovely handmade silk dress. Lovely stuff.
This shop carries the entire hotel. In our opinion. The Surf Town also has a (bigger) shop downtown. Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely pool, expensive towel-rent though. The pool bar was a bit slow and did not put alcohol in our cocktails >.< . Might have been a language hiccup.
All in all, an excellent hotel. Pricey for its 4 stars, but you get a fantasic location, nice rooms and if you go for a balcony it will be worth the cost.
Oh and the aircon worked flawlessly. I miss that chilled room…
