Hotel Colón Rambla

Alt i alt var min kone og jeg rigtig glade for at bo der. De ansatte var meget flinke og hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var rigtig god. Vi spiste i hotelrestauranten 2 aftener, og det eneste minus var at den først åbnede kl 20:00 og det er lidt sent for en hotelrestaurant hvis jeg selv skal sige det. Generelt trænger hotellet til en omgang vedligehold. Hotellet var rent men en tur med maler penslen og lidt andre småting hist og pist havde kunne gøre meget.

Nice staff. Great location, walking distance to centre. Would stay again.

Good location to explore the city. We would return.

With a busy road on two sides and a school full of screaming children on another side this is not a hotel to find rest or tranquility in! The playground is also floodlite at night and used for sport. A cafe under the hotel which is used as a annex by mothers and children added to the cacophony ! OK for an overnight stay if you are desperate. It need redecorating and better maintenance. I would rate it a 2* hotel . The restaurant is a depressing area and best avoided. Use of a kettle is extra as is use of the kitchen .

We came as tourists and this hotel is not really a tourist hotel. We did not find it a relaxing place. The area is lovely but has many schools which leads to awful parking problems. The adjoining school bell went at 8:30 and then the cafe under our balcony was very loud with parents who came for coffee and a chat after dropping off the children and again around 4 before collection. Basketball practice, bouncing balls, every evening after school until 8pm. One morning we tried to move to the sofa area with our coffee we were told we had to stay in the table and chair area which was extremely loud- not great for quiet chat to plan our day. Hotel parking is almost €15 per night. The town is lovely and lots of very good restaurants and is pleasant for strolling after dinner.Disappointed to come back to hotel after dinner at 1030 and not to be able to avail of a nice drink in the bar before bedtime. It closes at 10:30. There is beautiful park nearby with cafes and restaurants. We had a junior suite with a kitchenette which had nothing in it. You had to pay extra to get a kettle, cups etc. Our suite cost €131.64 more than a double. We discovered after being told there was no bar drinks available at night that we had a mini bar. True, but no spirits in it. We were then told these were held in reception if you required one. It's not the actual alcohol that is important it is the idea of a nice chat before bedtime in comfy surroundings.
