A great hotel, made excellent by the professionalism and commitment of the staff. Despite reduced staff numbers, the level of service was outstanding - from the cleaning ladies (rooms and communal areas always spotlessly clean) to the restaurant staff (food replenished continuously) and the manager, Stefan, who also worked in the restaurant. Yolande on Reception was especially helpful and efficient. Excellent variety of food for both buffet breakfast and dinner (both meals included in our special offer rate), with some dishes cooked to order. Evening entertainment in the bar (unexpected in the current Covid conditions) was also very good. Hygiene and safety standards maintained throughout the hotel and we felt very safe. Only 2 slight negatives: the hotel is at the top of a very steep hill so a difficult walk to the marina for anyone with mobility issues (though not a problem for us); the internet service was very unreliable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Arrived in Lanzarote without a booking for accommodation. We have been to Puerto Calero before so decided to try the Costa Calero. Literally sat in the car outside and booked online with Hotels.com. Fantastic deal ... and were even given a room upgrade when we checked in 5 minutes after booking. Well equipped room, very comfortable bed (rare in Spain, I find) and exceptionally clean. With concerns over Covid, we were a little wary, but fears were unfounded - everyone wearing masks, hand sanitiser everywhere and very good measures in place in the restaurant. We felt very safe. Food was excellent! Huge variety on both the breakfast and dinner buffets with some dishes cooked to order. The staff were lovely! They all worked tremendously hard to ensure guests were happy and satisfied. Particular mention to Yolanda on Reception - very efficient, friendly and helpful. Also to Stefan, the manager who worked tirelessly in the restaurant, as the hotel currently has reduced staff, and to Yaselyn, who seemed to be working every shift! Would have no hesitation in returning.

Everything was very good staff,services,food,we were there for the weekend for my husbands birthday he recieved a bottle of cava and a bowl of fruit from the hotel a lovely touch would highly recommend this hotel we will come back

It was impossible to get a cup of tea - no teapots allowed in the rooms! No tea making facilities. Some staff were kind enough to make a pot of tea to take to the room. The standard of food was diabolical I was ‘upgraded’ when I arrived to a room to hat didn’t look like the photo in the booking. A room overlooking the road and building works going, workmen could quite clearly see into your room. Didn’t feel safe. Shown a second room, exactly the same!! Had to pay £112 more to be higher up. Even though I had sent 4 emails without a reply asking to be be on a higher floor. Not impressed I was charged again for dinner even though I had paid cash, which seemed to take at least 9 mins to process while I waited to receive a a paid docket, and arduous process that even the end was meaningless as they presented a bill at the end. Overall I coul not wait to get home. I will not be staying there again and certainly will not be booking a holiday with Expedia. It was my mistake not to go independent and oversee all the little details and just leave it to a tour operator. The pick up transfer came far too early, I missed breakfast then sat at the airport for longer that I needed, the flight was delayed, it’s no ones exact fault but all these little mishaps became for me a very unpleasant experience where I could not wait to get home. Thank god it was sunny. I will in the future ALWAYS organise my own travel. I didn’t realise that this hotel v much caters for the drinking older crowd

My request for 2xtwin rooms with single beds and close together was not paassed on to the hotel. A reported wall light not working was not sorted within the 4 remaining days of our stay. Nonetheless the hotel was very accommodating and the staff were always helpful and friendly. I will certainly be booking to go back there next year.

Nothing at all was wrong with this hotel. We simply found it very impersonal. Must have met 60+ staff but only 3 were friendly or showed any interest. We had half board but only ate there 5 times out of 28 because whilst the food was ok it was the same all the time.... same food, same disinterested staff. I have to say that whilst it didn’t suit our needs I think it would suit many people’s needs perfectly. The location is great and as I said I found nothing really wrong with the hotel itself....... just not for us.

The staff were excellent and there was so much to do. It was a pleasure to stay there and we did not want to leave. We have already booked to go back in October. We love it! 😊

This is an amazing hotel with fabulous happy people who work there. The grounds are absolutely pristine! The staff works so hard and we appreciated all of the beautiful surroundings! We will return for the 4 th time!😊
