great location, affordable, it was dirty so we cleaned everything and wiped everything down, the bed was horrible but didn’t want to change hotels because we already cleaned the room to our liking… if u stay here… bring lysol wipes and lysol… then u will be fine

I enjoyed my stay at the Windsor hotel. It is a peaceful, no frills hotel which is what I was looking for, with a beautiful view on Ginkgo trees. It is situated in a great location for walking and easy transit connections as well. Convenient to Chinatown, Soho, Greenwich village etc. I recommend for the traveler who wants to be in a neighborhood, not a spa tower. Friendly staff.

Great location for subway & lower east side. Few amenities, but plenty for me. Very pleasant staff. Nice hotel-quality bed. Plenty of hot water. Refrigerator, no microwave. Bathroom toiletries provided. Tea, not coffee.

Need to change carpets and also need a bath mat in the bathroom.

Great location, affordable, clean, would recommend

Hotel was great, stayed for one night. We were a little nervous because of previous reviews but it was better than I expected. Room was clean. Room had two double beds, mini fridge, flat screen TV, small closet and area with a safe. Bathroom was clean, even came with travel toothbrushes and toothpaste, and some other toiletries. No issues with cleanliness regarding sheets or towels. Staff was friendly when checking in/out, and there were no surprises charges or deposits later when arriving. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would be back.

Pretty Rough Spot

We had a broken mirror, dirty floors, and there were tears in the wallpaper stapled to the wall. On the first night a guy got arrested out our first floor window

The room was old and had stains in the bathroom. The ac was shut off even when the room was still hot and the fan in the bathroom sounded like a cat was dying. Despite this we still paid $300 for one night which should have gotten us a much nicer room or hotel.

Staff was very friendly but the room itself was in bad shape…I felt like I needed to wear shoes to take a shower. Grout lines in bathroom were mildewed and dirty, walls and furniture were damaged and dirty. Bed was clean but pillows seemed old. Bathtub had a constant leak from faucet. Was a nice location close to the subway and a short walk from downtown, but a bit scary at night.

No frills, great price and location - RECOMMENDED

This hotel is cheap (by NYC standards) and cheerful. Staff were always friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. Location perfect for subways heading all around the city and Brooklyn as well as loads of great food options in walking distance. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to budget travellers. WHAT MAKES ME ANGRY? Reviews from people who want to pay cheapest possible prices and then gripe about tired decor or basic facilities. If you want a five star hotel go pay for it! For those of us who want a basic hotel this place is exactly what it says it is, and deserves full marks for that. Who wants to stay in anyway? It’s Manhattan - hotel should be for cleaning your teeth between adventures!

The wifi didn’t work for 2 days. The don’t clean the room unless you ask 1 day in advance. The cleaning was really bad. The personnel was really kind tho.

I liked that the hotel to 3 metro stations and walking distance from Nolitas restaurants. Very Very basic set up.. But, our room was located on the ground floor level and the noise level in it was incredibly high - our room shuddered everytime the main door of the hotel banged close, heard every conversation the front staff was having with customers ( even at 3 am), heard everyone on the street talking loudly, cigarette smoke of people smoking outside was entering our room. They should make the room on the lower level into a maintanence room or something so the stay of the guests becomes a little pleasant. But I guess that's how things are in Manhattan😔

No tengo idea. Al llegar me notificaron que habia sido cambiado al Wyndham Garden Chinatown del cual si puedo opinar: muy contento con la atencion y las instalaciones del hotel, asi como su ubicacion.

Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! So...we were quite lucky! It was so nice there at the Allen Hotel and staff were very helpful and kind. So I have to give a positive review of the experience overall despite their error. We went to the Windor first of course and I did see that it was a bit ruff' but again...had security and stellar staff.

Buena ubicación, al lado del metro. La habitación aunque un poco vieja era espaciosa. El personal de recepción muy amable. Por ese precio no se puede pedir más.

So listen…it’s a $70 hotel room in NYC and I didn’t die. Cosmetically everything was broken and stained. However, it seemed clean and no bugs. If you’re looking for a crash pad, go for it. If your a normie you’ll be horrified.

Great room, clean, amazing view, great supply of amenities but unfortunately the shower just did not work. It was impossible to use and barely any water came out if you tried to use hot water. Unfortunate, but otherwise I enjoyed my stay here. I’d come again, just bring a cup to try to bathe yourself.
