A truly amazing view was the highlight of a lovely stay. The staff were so nice and they really could not be more helpful. My requirements as a disabled guest were more than met.
This is a magnificent victorian hotel with every pore oozing stone and marble glamour. The food at breakfast was a feast, all well prepared, set out and lovingly staffed. The evening is fine dining and equally fine staffed. My only gripe is although there is a very large amount of available wines and champagne, there are no alcohol free wines available for us non drinkers (medical). Also for a large bar there is only 1 alcohol free larger. No mocktails, and a very poor selection of soft drinks.
The room was very clean and fresh. The furniture period. The bath is however far to small. The shower is brilliant great heat and good power.
We had a lovely stay, but i would say for a 4 star hotel i would expect bath robes and a greater selection of soaps/shampoos luxuries.
These however are just small things, probably made slightly more odd because of the pure luxury of the rest of the hotel.
We loved it and would highly recommend. We will be revisiting.
I am a wheelchair user and except for the gardens i was able to access all areas. A ramp and staff help is supplied for access to the dining room.
