Arrived shortly after check in, took our stuff to the room and headed out to do some things on the board walk. Etc. came back to the room hung out on the balcony, our room was on the very end of the building, there was something banging against the side the entire time bc of the wind. Moving on to when we went to go to bed, I’ve always brought my own blanket to hotels, just personal preference. When we removed the hotel blankets, we literally had to jump back bc there was a bug. It was a a dead bug. There was sand, dirt, food stains, MOLD on the pillows. Front desk was 0 help, very rude and sarcastic. Moving on to room number 2, we inspected the room together, at 3:30am, was still filthy, not as bad as there first, but mold on the pillows and food stains on the sheets. Front desk responded oh I’ll just get you new pillow cases???we went back and forth about she can’t refund me and had no more rooms. We then ask her if there’s a dryer we can clean out blanket. She says yup very top floor. So after we get everything finally moved in bc she tells me she has no other rooms she wasn’t even sure if this one was empty until we got into it, we go upstairs, the laundry requires coins which we did not have at 4am. At this point we were over it. Waited for check out to talk to a manger as directed to by the night shift front desk, he was helpful but still haven’t got a resolution. Hopefully will be getting a call tomorrow.
