I don’t understand the negative comments, honestly. Many of the things people are complaiming about, I don’t even care about.
I personally do not spend much time in the hotel room, so I do not need the room to be very high tech. What matters to me is that the room is clean, has a comfy bed and is spacious room, so I don’t feel like I’m in a small box and there’s room for my things. If I was visiting a resort I would expect and want something different. But this is London - you’re not supposed to be sitting in your hotel room.
Location: is distance a worry for you? Don’t worry! it doesn’t look like it on the map, but the hotel is literally a few steps from Trafalger square and close to Soho, Covent garden, the Palace etc. Everything is within walking distance. We walked everywhere.
Hotel: the hotel is big. It’s also dated though. The inside looks a bit used. But again, we did not spend much any time in the hotel (only a bit time in our room), since we were out in London all day and evening, so the state of the hotel reception and restaurant was really no concern to us.
Room: The rooms is spacious from a London perspective and the bath has a good shower. There’s room for a queen size bed, closet, iron, ironboard, desk and a good size television. Our room was facing away from the mainstreet and there was no noise - we even slept with the windows open every night (mind you we were there from saturday to monday).
