Not good for families, or basically anyone
Used condoms in parking lot. Given a different room with only one bed for a family of four than what we reserved (said they were overbooked on two-bed rooms). The roll-away bed provided had no padding and was all metal wires, so wasn’t usable. One family member slept on floor, one curled up on a short couch. Room was very poorly cleaned with hair throughout, general dirt, and blobs of unknown substances in the bathroom. Shower didn’t work, had to sponge off using lukewarm water in the tub. Heat didn’t work. Pillows were flat. Room was old and stained and needed updating. Door was hard to open from the inside. The most expensive and worst lodging we stayed in during two weeks in Alaska. The staff were incredibly nice, but when informed of the problems verbally and on their comment card during check-out, they apologized and nothing more.
