    Staff very unhelpful

    I had a number of issues while I was checking in, one being how the receptionist kept answering the phone whilst trying to check me in. He did this on three times and apologised each time. I found this to be extremely rude i’m not at the level of customer service expected for NH hotel. Very very disappointed.

    Disappointed in NH La Spezia!

    The water out of the facet was brown - disgusting. The front desk was "market deaf" in that we complained about the water being brown and they acknowledged there was a problem. Then they were nice enough to say we never paid for breakfast - we had 2 rooms for $400 ($200/each)!! So we had to pay an additional 45 Euro for breakfast. So needless to say, very disappointed in this hotel. We stay 200 nights a year on business in hotels all over North America - would never stay here again - they simply did not care. We have been to Italy over 80 times.

    Bad experience

    Not a good experience since the electricity went off for several hours and we didn't have water for toilet or sink.

    Toillete cleanless

    There was a bad smell on the toillete and cleaning was not good enough. I found a long hair on the bath tube which was not from my family

    Check in was problematic. Room key did not work, but had to wait 15 minutes outside room for the handy man to verify it was card not user error. 1 towel for 2 people in double room, bit dirty in bathroom and bedroom linen marked. Cold food at breakfast warm, hot food cold.... but apart from that it was ok.

    The staff was very courteous and helpful. They answered any question I had about transportation of the city. The restaurant was good at dinner, great burgers.
