Holiday Inn Express And Suites Astoria, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was very clean, bathroom amazing, bathing products were wonderful. Bed and pillows very comfortable! Kuerig coffee in room, could be better located, hard to add water. My dislike for the room is that every time another guest would close the door to their room, our headboard would hit the wall and rattle loudly, waking us, very annoying. Room 441 is right over entryway and main intersection, noisy, won't stay in that room again. When checking out an elderly couple was asking for their room to have kleenex etc to be replenished. The front desk wrote their list down, and was very snarky when giving this list to her Co worker "You have quite the long list to take care of. " Completely inappropriate comment to staff and where guests can here it. With all the shut down from covid, one should be thankful to have guests back again!

Excellent view, beautiful room, nice staff

The location was great it was in walking distance to everything we wanted. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and had the amenities that we expected. The views of the ocean/bay were amazing, it was fun to see all the big boats coming and going.

This will now be our "go to" while in Astoria. The good: friendly staff; pool was open and warm (by appt); hot tub!; spacious room; wonderful view under the big bridge; clean; didn't smell like smoke; excellent cable selection including HBO; pretty good breakfast. The only bad: toilet was slow to flush; sink was slow to drain, but that's it!

I stayed for 3 nights and the hotel accomodations were wonderful! The staff were kind and helpful, and the room was clean and well kept. My only issue was that the food wasn't the best. The eggs were runny and the portions were small. Everything else was lovely though!

Everything was great, except the person working the breakfast. A bit surly.

Disappointed we got a room over the parking lot when it’s such a beautiful place and we really needed a getaway. Our 1st room stunk, smelled like a locker room and they quickly moved us without question...over the roof/parking lot view, still disappointing. Pool open, their workout room is open too but minimal & nothing to wipe down machines. Breakfast is fill out a little card of your choices and it’s packed in boxes and handed back to you. It’s hot but nothing exciting & limited as well. Location is terrific, a park on the far side is the hotel and the river on the backside. Great for walking your pup. It’s $20/day to have a pet & they are not allowed to stay alone in the room, which made changing our dinner plans several times. Most shops were open as eats, fun place to visit but you should get a room with a view for $155/night.

This is a great place to stay with views, good COVID guidelines. Staff was very friendly. I had a little difficulty adjusting the room heat (I like it cool) but the windows opened so I got a good breeze off the water.

Everything was great about our stay. The hotel was right on the river by the bridge. The room with 2 queen beds was bigger than we expected. The beds were very comfy. Breakfast was provided to go. The wifi was fast enough for our kids to do online school class meets. The only drawback was that due to covid restrictions, housekeeping was not provided during our stay. We had a big pile of trash because most restaurants are takeout only. There was nowhere to put our food garbage.
