We recently stayed at the Westin Hotel in Whistler and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The location is outstanding—right in the heart of the village, close to everything. Our room was spacious and well laid out, and the breakfast buffet continues to be one of the best we've had at any hotel—excellent quality and variety.
That said, the rooms are in need of a refresh. The furniture, especially the beds, are clearly worn out. The headboard in our room was so scuffed and tired-looking that it left a poor impression. Unfortunately, housekeeping was also not up to standard during this stay. Over the course of our three-day visit, our room was not properly cleaned—beds were not made, floors were not vacuumed, and no toiletries were replenished. The only service we received was the replacement of towels.
Despite these issues, we do like this hotel very much and hope to see improvements in room maintenance and housekeeping service on our next visit. The location, amenities, and breakfast offerings still make it a standout option in Whistler.
