Coming after a tough 2020 for hotel business it was good but needs to be spruced up hence onwards

Firstly, reception staff rarely used to pick calls, even from my room I used to call them 2-3 time then they used tu answer my call. Secondly, I went to Kolkata for work purpose, during the whole stay I couldn’t sleep properly because every day there was some function going on and the music used to play till 2-3 AM. Thirdly, I was staying there for around 8-9 days and did 3 different booking from different platforms. During the stay I had my birthday and hotel didn’t bothered to wish me. They didn’t do anything. Moreover, for one day I was staying on someone’s behalf, and that was a smoking room, I’m a non smoker person. I asked them to clean the room, I was waiting for 1.5 hours and still they didn’t even start cleaning the room. I was little pissed of after that. They should have at least informed me about the time how much it will took. I was just waiting waiting n waiting. Room service is pathetic, if you ask for anything then you need to call them 2-3 time to remind them that you had asked them for something. Furthermore, food was good and the 2 girls from house keeping from third floor KAISHIKI and SUJATA were good, they better increase their pay. This was the only good thing. I have to change my hotel because of all these issues.

Everything was just a bit above 'ok'. Only complaint was the mosquitos in the lobby and restaurant.

One night transit stay post a family vacation. I have stayed at this property many times over the years, without any disappointments. I was extremely disappointed by the reception staff at check out. We were 13 in a group, rooms all paid. However we needed an airport transfer on departure. I requested at check in, called in the evening, and again before leaving the room for breakfast to have the bills ready. A lone executive by the name of Arnav was at the reception. Waited more than 15 mins for him to check out he client before us. One of the rudest, unhelpful prick I have met. He is a Shame to Hyatt group! However the gentleman at the travel desk was extremely helpful and polite. Hyatt Kolkatta kindly improve your service at reception! Arnab you need retraining in hopitality!

** Terrible front-desk staff ** We had booked four rooms on Expedia. When we came in to the check in desk, the check in clerk (I think her name was Pritisha) said that we had booked only 3 rooms. When I showed her the email of Expedia booking, she seemed to imply that I was lying and she insisted that we had booked only three rooms, Instead of trying to help, she said she cannot help. I had to use my roaming charges on the phone and call Expedia. They confirmed that there was no issues and gave hotel conformation of the booking. In the meanwhile, another member in our family talked to the second clerk (Neil) and this time he was magically able to find the reservation (now Ms Pritisha was nowhere to be seen). This whole ordeal took 45 minutes and all my family members had to stand (as there are not many sitting areas in the lobby). Way to go Hyatt in treating your customers!!

good value: the quality of the room, hotel, service, breakfast far exceed the price paid. my only caution is about the location: the hotel is on it's own grounds and separated from the shops and residential areas around it. expect to take ubers or taxis everywhere.

Under the bathroom sink, there was an open wire, and I accidentary touched with a wet hand, got a light electrical shock. In the other room, my sister in law had a shock through the shower water. Stuff fixed these problems of these 2 rooms but I think this is a really critical and poor condition for the high grade hotel like Hyatt ,which can lead the serious accidents. Doubted the hotel's status..
