Barceló Gran Faro is not on my list of options if I come back to cabo. Really bad service, and they didn’t give anyone of my benefits for being a gold member on hotels.com

This was one of the most frustrating trips I’ve ever had, as the property didn’t quite match many of the positive reviews as some people had. My girlfriend and I arrived at 3:12pm to check-in, but couldn't get a room till 5:45p due to "late-checkouts." After getting to our room, it was 2 double beds and not a king/queen bed. During our wait for our room, the front desk agent mentioned to go to Las Olas for drinks/lunch. It was CLOSED! Only option was the disgusting cafeteria food at the Pool Grill. I understand its an "all-inclusive," but the frozen food was either beyond over/under cooked. The food in general at Las Jicamas, the pool grill and the buffet were pretty horrific. The only thing great about the restaurants were the servers. Everyone was extremely nice and on top of everything(wish I could say the same about the food). The room was decent. Nice view, but again, only got 2 doubles instead of a queen/king bed. There was only 3 bath towels. I tried getting hand towels and a floor mat towel from the housekeeper, but she said i had to call the desk for that instead of handing me towels. The LACK of front desk training at the hotel is major portion of this rant. NO info was given about the hotel or its facilities( i.e. restaurant hours, wifi code, gym, pool times, etc…). The Las Olas restaurant was never open??! Why would you have an employee send someone there when its not open?? The hotel was recommended by a friend, but Definitely Never Returning to the Property.

I had a wonderful stay at Barceló Gran Faro. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. My only complaint was with the wifi availability in my room. It was very inconsistent and unreliable.

It is a great place, however, due to covid, it feels like you are missing half of the experience. Also, on guests requests missing some courtesy. I asked for room service menu, I was directed to check it on tv. It shows wrong operating hours as well as not a complete menu. I had to pay extra for it.

Our family had a great experience here. The staff we very professional and went above and beyond! It is so worth paying extra for Premium level. The rooms are clean with breathtaking views of the ocean, beds are comfortable. Meals were okay. Explored other Mexican eateries outside the property and there you can find authentic delicous mexican food. Would stay at this resort again!

When we first checked it was around 9 pm. They gave us the wrong room and we had to move our own bags to our new room which still wasn't the original room we paid for. Also upon check-in, we were not told anything about the facilities. We were not told about you have to make reservations at some of the restaurants. When we did make reservations they were booked 3 to 4 days out therefore we did not get to enjoy some of the other restaurants and had to eat mainly buffet-style food. The air conditioner and lights would go out throughout our stay sometimes being down for a half-hour. We tried to talk to the front desk however they were not very responsive and did not seem to care. At times her room was very hot and stuffy not as comfortable as I would have expected. The rest of the staff is very friendly, kind and very responsive to your needs. The other Barcelo that I have stayed at does not compare to this one. Expectations were not met. I personally would not stay at this facility again.

Excellent. Above our expectations. This is an inclusive resort with tips included. BUT, the overall service is so excellent that unless you are a cheapo, you feel obligated to tip for service that is seldom seen at hotels or cruise lines. Only two comments, if you want to get a chair lounge by the pools, you must come down by 5 am to get them. By 6am they will be taken. The swimming pools temperature are in the cool side. All restaurants are excellent and ceviche is served by the swimming pool all day. Top shelf alcohol beverage. We will definitely go back next year.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Food always available and the specialty restaurants were good. Would recommend making reservations at checkin as they fill up pretty quickly if you wait. We also took advantage of the spa and had really great massage and facials.
