This hotel said they clean very good especialy now during Covid. That was not the case. It was really dirty on the inside and outside.
This hotel has seen better days. We had to move rooms because the first one was not clean. In the second room we found wrappers in the floor and in the bathtub. The elevator had not been cleaned in a long time and it sounded like it was going to break.
We were in town for my 5 year old’s gymnastics competition so staying for a couple of days with our 3 kids. When we checked in, the desk clerk appeared to be high or drunk. She was slurring and having a hard time explaining things and just generally acting strange. We managed to get checked in and get our keys. Went upstairs and discovered that the keys did not work for the room. So my husband went back down to the lobby for assistance and the desk clerk was nowhere to be found. He rang the bell, called the hotel phone number, called out for someone. I tried calling the phone number from upstairs in the hallway and no answer. All said it was about 40 minutes before another manager showed up who had just come on shift and assisted with the keys. The other desk clerk never showed back up. After my daughter’s competition the following day, we returned to the room and it was permeated with marijuana smoke that was coming through from the bathroom from the room next to us. It was so strong we ended up having to leave just to go do something because it was intolerable. It had not changed by the time we returned and we tried to go address it with the front desk, but the same clerk who had checked us in is apparently residing in the room we were having the issue with and
Great location, staff was friendly. However, upon check in to my room, the tub had not been cleaned, there was an old bar of soap from the previous guest and the drain was so wrapped with hair that it wouldn’t drain. Maintenance was quick to replace it. Pretty sure that during the entire duration of my stay, 5 days, illegal narcotics were being done and sold out of at least one room on the second floor. A few shady characters and look outs on each ends of the hallways as well as people coming and going from the room. I notified the front desk but I do not think the police were notified. Overall it was not a bad stay tho. It’s in a great location, close to food and downtown. Staff was friendly and fixed the issues with the bathroom in a timely manner.

The property was convienently located and very easy to find. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly.
Everything was great except the breakfast. Nothing but high sugar content items and non ripe fruit. Every other Holiday Inn express that I’ve stayed in offered hot grab & go breakfasts. All this one offered was cereal bars and cheap pastries. Very disappointing as I had to go out and purchase breakfast.
Front desk reps both evening and overnight had very poor customer service.
Despite signs everywhere regarding mask requirements, few people wore them, including some housekeepers, and sometimes office staff. The lack of enforcement was terrible. We had no housekeeping service for 6 days. We requested multiple times, were told multiple times it would happen, and it never did. I took sheets and towels to the front desk for them. We had to ask housekeepers for more which we received intermittently. I made the beds (changed sheets, changed comforter cover, etc). I should have been paid by them instead of the other way around. The manager was very nice, and we would receive apologies and assurances that were never fulfilled.
