Pollards Inn was a nice enough place for a night or two's stay. It is basically a pub with a small sideline in rooms. There was no noise from the pub. A bit from the boiler which was next to our room and a lot from creaky floorboards, but it's an old building. The room was comfortable enough and the bathroom was good enough. The bed was comfortable. It was plenty warm enough with the heating controlled by turning the thermostat on the radiator up or down. Looked like it might be a nice place to eat or have a drink. Unfortunately we were eating elsewhere and by the time we got back the bar was closed. We struggled to get into the front door of the pub but fortunately there were staff still there so banging on the door got us in. The breakfast was nice, served in the conservatory. The real upside of the inn is the village which it is set in. Some nice old buildings and if you follow the windmill trail it'll take you on a nice post breakfast stroll. There are a few shops and a cafe and a couple of pubs and when you go check out to see if there is a pop up cafe at Hadlow Road railway station (disused station). Was bustling with locals, food drink and music. 5 min walk from Pollards Inn. The only thing I would suggest is that if a guest doesn't require a dog bed, you get rid of it for their stay, it was a bit weird. I do also wonder what it would be like staying somewhere with four rooms with dogs in. The hotel was good value for money, and we were very happy with our stay.

What can I say other than fabulous service, the rooms were spotless, the staff were wonderful.. We asked for an early breakfast as we were going out Saturday morning which they provided specially. Nothing was to much trouble.. Our go to place now.. They even have a doggy bar menu 😍

We enjoyed a wonderful and welcoming stay. Pollards Inn know how to do hospitality! We were made to feel right at home with very friendly service. Nice room and grounds, good value for money for both the room and food. Will definitely be booking again when back in area as we had such a pleasurable stay.

Great stay at Pollards Inn for 4 nights with our dog. Genuinely dog friendly, a real home away from home. Excellent breakfast included and spacious clean room. Very convenient village location handy for Liverpool, Chester and north Wales.
