Hotel is very nice and in a great location. Many great restaurants as well as Van Andel Arena and DeVos Stadium are within walking distance.

I would have given this Hotel 5 stars had it not been for the limited elevator availability. One was not working, so the other one was working double time and the wait was quite long. Also, we had a double queen room, so had to call for extra towels because they only provided 2. This are very minor issues and I would definitely stay there again. The staff was friendly and helpful and apologetic about the elevator situation. Bed and pillow were comfy and the location was great. We were able to walk to the Van Adel Theatre and to a great spot for dinner.

I thought the hotel was very nice. The staff was very bland less than enthusiastic. I was disappointed. Also I get that it was a Downtown hotel and there was a parking deck. But I was in that deck for about 17 hours and the tab was $32. I think that’s atrocious. Don’t mind paying, but never was advised that it was gonna be that much. Again maybe that falls on the staff?

30$ a night parking fee was never mentioned. The biggest issue I have had with this property is the sub-standard breakfast options. Oatmeal, ceral and close to spoiled fruit. There are better options to consider in the area for the price. 2 Star feel

Hotel was short handed help wise. But no issues with hotel. Only complaints would be hotel.com said taxes were included but there were 3 added( state tax, Kent Count tax, experience GR/CVB tax. Also no mention of $32 a day parking fee the hotel charges. Charges not expected that added a lot to bill😡

I had high hopes for this hotel, being it was a Hyatt and a newer hotel. However it failed to meet even modest hopes. It stated with check in and the lack of honoring the check in time of 3pm. Our room wasnt ready until 4:30 and that was only after we agreed to change to a different room from what we booked. The lady at the desk only made excuses and never offered an apology. The cleanliness was the next issue, there was a garbage can near the elevator on our floor that wasn't emptied in the 3 days we stayed there. There were towels in the hallway on the floor all weekend, a Jimmy John's takeout box, there were no towels in the pool area, and the towel bin in the pool area was overflowing. The last straw was that the continental breakfast, which supposed out until 10am was not there when i brought my young hungry children down at 9:20am. I understand that COVID has caused staffing issues, but maybe decrease the number of rooms to allow proper cleaning and service to be had.

At check in there was only two young ladies who were there doing everything. Check ins, the bar & restaurant, stocking items. At breakfast by 9:00 everything was gone from the coffee to the coffee cups, napkins & knifes. The eggs, bagels and the two juices and water was empty. And the fruit was gone. And this was not the worse part! I put my purse and iPad in the safe and then we could not get the safe open. The maintenance man David can up the next day because we needed to leave and he could not unlock the safe. They tried to call the head maintenance man and we would not come in to unlock the safe. Therefore, we were literally forced to spend another night until the main guy came in to decode the safe. When he finally showed up it took him to seconds to unlock the safe. No one at the Hyatt communicate to us what was going on to resolve this issue, my husband had to keep running down stairs to check on the situation. Then general manager Tori showed up at the hotel but never contact us (she had both of our phone numbers) and she avoided us and just left for the day. You would think that a Hyatt General Manager's concern would be about there guests. But our time did not matter to them! They did not charge us for the room for the extra day that we had to stay. But we did not want to stay, we wanted to leave! It was very inconsiderate and very unprofessional! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
