Hotels.com GUARANTEED my booking for 2 whirlpool rooms. I paid for both up front and non-refundable. When I get to the hotel they only received a booking for one room there was no one at hotels.com I could call the virtual support was helpless. The hotel denied any association with the booking of my room I had to pay full price for a second room. The whirlpool for the room that was booked did not work at all the hotel was not accommodating of this. I spent an hour on the phone waiting to speak to hotels.com just for a live person to take a message and tell me they would email me later. And that if I will receive a refund it would be within 7 to 10 days of receiving the email for which I have yet to receive. My only next step is to dispute the charge with my bank. Poor customer service. Rip off. Advise booking a hotel directly with the hotel if you want prompt accountable customer service. There is no guarantee. And nothing holding them accountable for making that claim.

The amenities for early check-in and late check out was not honored by hotel management. Overall poor management especially at 3pm on June 26, 2021. Rooms were not ready for the majority of the guests present during our check-in.

All staff we encountered were incredibly nice, and the main areas of the property were gorgeous. The food, cocktails, and mocktails were all great. Very good location. BUT, only half (or fewer) of the elevators were working, which led to significant delays (and over-packed elevators) in the morning. (The stairwells all said “Emergency,” so it wasn’t clear if those were for regular use.) The room was…sad. We stayed here for the first time a decade ago and paid $99; we stayed again about five years ago for not much more. This time, we paid about $300 after taxes and fees, and the room was worse than a decade ago. It’s not too much bigger than a Club Quarters “club” room, which is to say it’s very small and hard for two people to maneuver in together. There was only one light in the room—aside from the hall light coming in—and one dim light in the bathroom. The cold water in the faucet randomly stopped working, and the toilet was the loudest I’ve ever heard. The tub liner had bubbled so you bounced a bit when stepping on it, and I almost fell over at one point as a result. Zero charm in the room whatsoever. If the rooms were at least half the price, I’d consider staying here again because of the location, history of the building, and staff. Otherwise, it’s akin to motel accommodations, which I refuse to pay for again at that rate.

I was so impressed with the architecture. But other than that nothing to note. The rooms and halls were not clean I was sadly disappointed. We were on the 28th floor and the elevators had no air movement or air at all. It took us about 20 minutes to get to our room after check in. There was dust all over the room and the night stand had finger prints on it. The pillows were also lacking, I am glad I brought my own. Not worth the price that we paid at all. When a room is over $200 a night you expect it to be clean and comfortable.

The stay was a debacle from the first moment we got to this hotel. When I checked in the Price of the room was more than expected. This app didn’t give me my one free night that I had earned with other stays. Then we got to the room and the smell hit us in the face as the door was opened. The air conditioner and the water pipes were extremely loud. We left the room and went to the Reds game and got back to the room and pulled out the hide away and no sheets tried to call the lobby but no one would answer so had to go back downstairs and ask to have bed made and when they brought the sheets they wouldn’t make the bed. The bed was so uncomfortable that I got up with a backache. The coffee table in front of the hideaway was extremely heavy and I struggled to move it to get the bed pulled out. There was no room to move around the bed. Horrible!!!! Paint peeling off the walls and ceiling. I made this reservation at a Hilton thinking it would be a great place to take my mom and disabled son for a Reds game. This place just wasn’t up to standards I had for a Hilton. I paid too much money for such a horrible room. The pool was being renovated and that wasn’t noted on this app. Now I can’t get in touch with Hotels.com to discuss the price of the room and see if we can get that fixed. Beware of this app and this Hilton!!!!

We always make sure that we stay here when we travel. It is beautifully decorated and true to the period of opulence.

Well the lady at the front desk told me Yes I had to carry my own stuff from the parking garage when I asked because I seen others getting help from the bell man… after we carried it all inside and I asked The bell man myself e finally helped us the rest of the way and nobody told me we had to pay for parking despite the 400 we paid for our stay and I didn’t have the money in my account to pay to get my car out so we had to walk to add money to our account just to retrieve our vehicle ans I feel like they should have informed us not to mention the charging of 3$ per bottle of water if u opened it after paying all that that was not right… other then those things we had a good stay

The staff were very nice and helpful but this hotel is TIRED. I love historic hotels but the building itself and especially the rooms need extensive updating. My friend mentioned this is the worst he has ever seen a Hilton look.

At a glance the hotel looks fabulous. Unfortunately that it not what the rooms/suites look like. I'll start with the bathrooms. Old shower curtain, faucets were old and had grime around the base. The toilet literally looked like it belonged in a McDonald's bathroom. Bathtub was really small and again the liner was OLD. The beds were comfy but again the linens were old and were too big for the beds. Carpet was not vacuumed, waste baskets had no bags and the air/heat was hard to set. I was confused as to why the pool was not available because of COVID but patrons were not wearing masks and hotel staff did not address it at all. Overall our stay was ok. The location is perfect because there is plenty of fine dining within walking distance.
