Used to "All inclusive" hotels, I can compare my experiences. I enjoyed having to leave the hotel to eat in restaurants or cafés, which are by the way very very cheap. I could also buy food and drinks at the supermarket next door. Zak inn hotel offers quiet evenings in a comfortable room and without anyone trying to sell you something (trips, treatments,...)
The staff is genuinely nice and helpful. For example, when I wanted a spa, they helped me and made all the phone calls. When I needed to go somewhere, they ordered me a taxi (very nice cars with meter) which was cheaper than the street taxis or the big hotels "limousines" (not actual limousines).
The staff leaves you some privacy, unlike in big hotels where small talks are about your private life, here it was mostly about making sure that you are having a good stay.
The buildings are old and could use some renovation, but almost all the hotels in Hurghada do, even the more expensive ones. This hotel is perfect for low budget and relaxing holidays.
Travelling alone, as a woman, I felt safe. I thank the staff for their professionalism and kindness.
