No security in the hotel
Since it's public knowledge that San Pedro Sula not is a safe place, I found the quality hotel La Cordillera to spend the night before my departure next day. But about 11PM there was a very violent man, who exploded in the nice, intimate pool area with the hotel bar. It lasted about 5 to 10 minutes, and I felt that I could have ended up as the victim of arbitrary violence. The worst is that there were no security guards on the hotel to make an end to the incident. Luckily, I slipped away from the area and locked myself up in my room the rest of the night.
