"A beautiful spot in a lovely village. We only wish we had stayed longer. Beds and rooms are spacious well lit and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious fresh food with coffee and fresh orange juice. It’s the same every day so if you like variety best be prepared to cook in your room or walk. Easy but somewhat hilly walk to the main square, full of vibrant tavernas with good food. Excellent friendly service from the staff. "

"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Admittedly we visited during the off-season so not all services were available. The buffet was pretty lame; not much to select from. Also our room had several issues: no hot water until we called for maintenance, also the sliding door to the balcony was VERY difficult to open. The indoor pool was very nice. Finally, there are cats EVERYWHERE; I really didn't care to listen to them all the time. First time; last time. Won't be returning."

"Upon arrival I was 'upgraded' to a more quite room in the back, since I was staying for two weeks. Unfortunately there were a lot of dogs around the property, so every time you opened the door to get some air in after 6pm, dogs on both sides would go off in a barking contest. The room itself was fine, bigger than what I originally ordered, but mostly empty and had no indoor table, only a sofa that wasn't great to sit on. Rest of the room was fine, as expected. "Fantastic family holiday at Lyttos Beach We had a wonderful stay at Lyttos Beach. The hotel has excellent facilities, and the staff truly go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. While it’s not a luxury resort, it’s absolutely perfect for families looking for plenty to do on vacation. The sports facilities at the Lyttos Beach Sports Centre are world-class, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The hotel was spotless throughout, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and clearly worked very hard to keep everything running smoothly. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to families looking for an active, fun-filled holiday."
