Ok hotel, nyt eller nyrenoveret. Små værelser, der mangler arbejdsplads. Williamsburg er et dejligt område i Brooklyn med gode restauranter og butikker, nemt med subway til New York og Manhatten. Let morgenmad, men ok.

While the staff was very helpful and plentiful, there is no proper entrance to the hotel. One enters and descends to the gym then a narrow hallway and up the elevator to a small room on the sixth floor for check in. A restaurant and new entry are under construction. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and provided a free continental breakfast. […] If you are spending time in Manhattan, this hotel is very inconvenient. The subway lines either don't work or are unreliable on the weekend. We spent a small fortune on cabs! We were visiting our son and this was convenient to him, but next time, back to Manhattan. One of the nicer hotels in Williamsburg. We knew the hotel was under renovations from reviews we read, but the hotel was doing its best to not let it affect our stay. We heard about the rooftop bar and were disappointed it wasn't open until Memorial Day. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. While I'm sure usually lovely, I'm pretty sure we should have been paying a fraction of the price. No lobby, weird makeshiftness, dangerous and slippery mess. Call and see if the construction is done before booking. A former Williamsburg dweller, the location is fab.

The hotel is currently under construction making it very noisy during working hours and requiring one enter the building through a side entrance. The room has no draws for clothing and the smallest closet I have ever seen and I grew up in NYC. The staff was lovely as was the breakfast

We needed a hotel in Williamsburg relatively close to our son's apartment. King and Grove met the bill. It is also close to our favorite restaurant, Five Leaves, which gave us the opportunity to go there as well. Good job.

Perfect! Close to my son's apartment and a 10 minute subway trip to Manhatten. Bed was wonderful - room small but very clean and modern. Would recommend.

The bed was wonderfully comfortable with lots of pillows. However, there are no towel bars/hooks in the bathroom on which to put wet bath towels.It would be nice to have a waste basket in the room, and curtains that shut properly.There is an extensive mini-bar with no prices given,and the cosmetics supplied had been used and were all messy- recommend […] that all be replaced after each guest leaves. Rooms were small but very clean. No coffee maker but Excellent hotel service for Ice, extra pillows. Some rooms have balconies, ours did not. Great little restaurant down below (Excellent "dry aged burger") and nice rooftop lounge. The lobby had a river of water flowing under our feet. Nice!

We had a very short pleasant stay. The only inconvenience was the size of the room. Not much space to move around nor closet space. Otherwise, the location was what we needed forn the time we were there.

The Hotel couldn't be more than a few years old, and it shows. The place is in immaculate condition and very clean. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and the Malin and Goetz bathroom supplies were a nice touch. Being new, it seems like all of the facilities aren't up to 100%. The gym only has a few machines, even though there's space for dozens. […] What equipment it did have, though, was more than satisfactory. I'm sure they have plans to fill out the space in another year or so. The same can be said for the beautiful basement restaurant, which was only open for a la carte breakfast. Again, I'm sure this will be a great dinner spot in a short amount of time. One other annoyance was the "environmentally friendly" air conditioning. I would set it at a cool 72 when I'd leave for a few hours, but it would shut off automatically when nobody is in the room. I'd return to a very hot room, reset the AC, then wait for it to cool down again. Overall, I would absolutely stay in this hotel again. I enjoyed my stay very much. Læs mere

The hotel is too "boutique" for it's own good. The chair in the room useless it's so small and uncomfortable, the light switches are annoying, the sink is tiny with no surrounding surface area for toiletries, the "desk" chair is a tiny stool. The only comfortable thing about the hotel is the bed. It was very soft which may trouble some people but it […] was comfortable. With such a soft bed and no place to sit, this is not a good hotel if you need to get some work down. The hotel service was very good and everyone was polite. The room service food was pretty bad. I stayed at your hotel with my daughter and we found a few things: The walls to the room weren't sound proof and were disturbed by our neighbours have a terrible fight from 12:30am-3:00 not pleasant. There weren't reading lamps on our night tables and we also thought that the phone to call the front desk should have been on the night table in case of […] emergency. Also no coffee machine to make tea or coffee (that is usually a standard in all hotels). The doors to the rooms when closing slammed also disturbing when you are trying to sleep. The hotel is very clean. The bedding is very nice. Everything has a very modern feel to it. Nice pool. Nice low key pastry selection in am with complimentary coffee and juice is a nice extra. We booked a king, and upon arrival were told we were upgraded to a room with a balcony. Turned out to be a queen room. That was not an upgrade! Use of shower created flooding on bathroom floor, we had to use all of our towels to try and keep water within the stall. Complimentary soaps, shampoos & towels were not replenished daily, had to call front […] desk for these items, and often times had to call more than once. We booked this hotel because they had a pool. We were told on the 2nd day that the pool was closed for a private party and could not be used from 11:30am to 9 pm that day. Management said that they notified everyone that it would be closed that day, but we never received a notification, nor did another hotel guest we spoke to. This hotel advertised a rooftop terrace, but it is only open Wed-Sun? Our stay was Mon-Thurs. They did have a very nice continental breakfast, but that was not enough to compensate for all the negatives. Læs mere

As a single woman in town for a night this hotel was perfect. It is very new with the dining room not quite finished. The room was cozy but very comfortable. The decor was modern and done with attention to detail. The bathroom was small but very well appointed. The hotels location was nice with a park across the street.

Forgiving the fact they just changed management, everyone was very friendly and it felt like the boutique hotel atmosphere I wanted. The staff went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable. The weekend roof top bar was a bit loud but this didin't last too long. The out door pool was terrific. Wish it was open till 8PM.

We chose the King and Grove instead of the Wythe Hotel because of the pool but when we arrived and checked in at 4:00 pm the pool area was a disaster. It was extremely crowded, impossible to get a drink, or get the one empty table we found clean, but the most infuriating was that the young man who seemingly managed the pool area berated us about the […] cost of washing ($1,000 a day, I believe he said) the towels for the pool area as an excuse for having none available. We were told repeatedly that the King and Grove is a hotel first, and that hotel guests are their first priority but we certainly did not feel that way when we attempted to use the pool as a hotel guest and not a friend of the pool manager. Very well appointed hotel. The beds are incredible! Soft, comfortable, right down to the pillows. I didn't want to get up! The shower was amazing - a full waterfall head, plus a hand held unit. The mini bar was impressively well stocked, with a full range of drinks, snacks and personal needs from unexpected and well respected companies. I did not eat […] there, nor did I swim there (first day pool was open) but with a lifeguard on duty and plenty of places to lay out and enjoy, the entire outdoor deck was inviting and lovely. Be prepared, however - the rooms are quite compact. Great for me traveling on business, but might be a little tight for a couple accustomed to large spacious rooms. Lighting was dramatic but not incredibly dark. My room overlooked the courts across the street, with sunshine pouring in during the day. However the room was amazingly quiet, despite its proximity to the street. Best of all was the location - within walking distance to all the cool shops on Bedford, the subway, the park... making it a little oasis, not too far from anywhere else you need to be. In fact, I was at Union Square by subway in 20 minutes. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Williamsburg. I'll definitely be back! Læs mere

For the additional cost of a NYC subway fare to Brooklyn, here's an opportunity to stay in a clean, modern, airy hotel room that is 3 times the size and one fourth the price of a mid-town Manhattan hotel room. King and Grove is located at the quiet end of a street filled with cafes, restaurants, boutiques and bars. Within walking distance of a subway […] stop, the hotel is only minutes from lower Manhattan providiing easy access for those who wish to venture beyond the local neighborhood, Our very clean room came with a very clean, large, modern bathroom, a king size bed and comfortable seating. We parked next door in a reasonably priced parking garage. And though it wasn't opened yet, King and Grove has a POOL and a courtyard for outdoor seating. We enjoyed a fresh continental breakfast (free!) with our room. Williamsburg is a fantastic walking neighborhood- a mix of old and new with lots of food options. One can continue walking to the surrounding neighborhoods, exploring an amazing variety of cuisines, small shops, and the local art scene. I do kind of miss the old delis and bakeries of Brooklyn but fortunately it hasn't totally succombed to the sleek, gentrification of much of Manhattan or the suburban mall sprawl of other cities. King and Grove is a great place to use as home base for any trip to Brooklyn or Manhattan. Læs mere

Bra nybyggt hotell i norra änden av Williamsburg nära Brooklyn Brewery. Lite trist restaurang i hotellet, men det finns många små bra restauranger, barer och caféer i närheten. Tunnelbana (L) direkt in till Manhattans 14th st.
