Myrtle Beach Resort Vacations - Surfside Beach

I enjoyed my stay at Myrtle Beach Resotrs Hotel, but my only complaint is that the beds were not made when we arrived, and the couch was extremely dirty.

We enjoyed our stay, Myrtle Beach Resort is even better now then when our family stayed there 10 years ago. The resort has everything you need for a fun-filled stay for all ages (the beach, pools, lazy river, bar, etc.). Great accommodations, very clean, friendly and safe place to stay.

We had reservations for a room with a queen size bed, sofa, with an ocean view & kitchen. The picture on the website looked very romantic. We got a room with a captain's bed against the window and a bunk bed set, sofa and kitchen. We could look out the window and see the ocean, but it wasn't the romantic room I thought we were getting. When we inquired […] about the room, we were told that we got the room that we had reservations and they didn't have many rooms like the picture. The resort was very nice and had several activities available if the weather was warmer. My suggestion is to book the room through Hotels.com and call the hotel and make sure that you are getting the room you want. Læs mere

The resort was amazing and we are planning a trip for the kids soon :). The room in the 600 wing needs to be updated badly!! And this nosy nosy neighbor called resort patrol 2x's in one day! And I understand 3am but 5:30 on sat afternoon plus she was very rude! Buuuut other than that it was awesome

I needed a place to stay and this seemed like my best choice. I was there off season and needed a place to stay and this suited all of my needs. The room was clean and the grounds were well kept. we had 5 rooms to go with us to the beach, we all like the place and the beach. The other 4 two bedrooms was very nice and clean but my room was so stank and mildew. It smell like fish the maintenance service was very nice to help out,but could not change the room.. It was our wedding anniv.

We were very happy with the location. The beach was WONDERFUL and not crowded at all. We used most of the pools and the lazy river. We were in the Tower (14th floor) and it was surprisingly quiet. A couple of things I wasn't crazy about: The rooms were very basic. White walls, white tile floors, a few inexpensive beachy prints on the walls. Honestly […] it looked like decorations from a thrift store. The couch was upholstered in plastic. I'm not even kidding, it was plastic made to look like material. The dining table was one of those white painted farmhouse styles. Plain white ceramic bathrooms, plastic vanities. I guess this would have been okay except from the pictures we saw, many of the suites there seem to be decorated nicely, and it leaves you thinking the whole time, "Why didn't we get a nicer suite? This place is really PLAIN and TIRED." The parking lots were very empty, so I'm assuming they had others to rent out. Anyway, everything was clean, just not very nice. (All the dishes were mismatched and also looked like they came straight from the thrift store. We're talking 1970's novelty glassware.) Læs mere

We stay 3 nights at the tower, the appartment #1512 ( 2 rooms) are nice, good decoration, kitchen ok, all the staff (silverware, plates, glass etc) are old, only one bad !!!!!!! the CARPET are disgusting, very dirty. The bathrooms are ok, clean, at the bedrooms nice souds from the sea, nice neighborhood, pool quiet & clean and........... the beach are […] PERFECT, no many people, nice water etc. Perfect for family vacations !!!!. The place was great. Could have used another tv in our room. Need to refresh the sofa and chair in the sitting area. The kids had a fantastic time swimming in all of the pools.

Our room was smaller than expected, but had a kitchen and was a nice for a place to branch out from to the beach or other activities. We decided to get a pizza and soda from the on-premesis restaurants, but were sorely disappointed in their quality and went out to eat after one bite. I loved ocean front, however room need updating. I was told I would have 2 queen beds.. not the case, I had one very hard queen bed and a terrible pull out couch bed. My husband and I traveled here over Labor Day weekend with another couple. We had the 2BR 2BA Ocean View. The room was really nice, full kitchen was nice with granite counterops and stainless steel appliances, and the beds were very comfortable. Parking was terrible and we had to circle around 3 or 4 times to find a spot everytime we left our room. Also, the elevators had no air and had a weird, musty smell. Loved how close we were to the beach and all of the pools and activities close for kids. Decor was a little dated but rooms were clean. Beds were not comfortable and hammocked in the middle. Close to the beach but a little misleading; from the website, it looks like you are right in front of the ocean; you can't tell that there is an apartment/condo community behind the buildings that are on the oceanfront

When we arrived they gave us a room that was not cleaned. But the staff cleaned and brought the room up to par. They did everything to make our stay more comfortable. Front desk person not very accomodating but the cleaning & Maintanence staff were great. The pools were clean the facilties were really nice and the other staff was great.

Overall I was happy with this hotel. Check in time was 4pm, but we got there an hour early and our room was ready for us. The hotel was nice, there was a lot to do at the resort, and it was easy to get to. There were 2 downfalls and that was the parking was too far away from the hotel and we were on the 2nd floor, very close to the bar/restaraunt and […] theyhad live bands 2 of the 3 nights that we were there. Our family stayed in a two bedroom condo that had a side ocean front view from our balcony. The overall condition of the condo was nice. Air Conditioner was awesome! However, the kitchen stove and utensils needed to be replaced. The pots and pans had no matching lids so cooking was difficult. Bring your own paper towel products as there were no paper […] towels in the kitchen and no paper towels on the toilet paper racks in either bathroom. Once you used the last sheet, you are out!! The facility was crowded for the 3rd week in August, the beach being the worst for that. Could not get to the lazy river as the kids from all over the property had a monopoly on that while we stayed there. Hotel Security really did a good job showing their faces from time to time which was nice to see. Great location with regards to restaurants and an Ice Cream shop down Rt. 17 by half a mile which was awesome. Average stay at an average price which was tolerable. Læs mere

The over all resort area was very nice, however our room was absolutely filthy!! I had to spend 31/2 hours cleaning on my vacation!! Not to mention that we had to provide our own paper products & wash the towels. When I called them before we left for our vacation and was never told these things! The Hotel was not clean, there were "stains" the light switch, hair on the towels, the beds were like sleeping on cement blocks, the toilet was barely secured on, the floor squeaked, we could hear the neighbors above and next to us, very poor parking spaces, the dishes were not cleaned, the closet was full of waste from the maintenance crew. The front […] desk was not too friendly and the wait for them was way too long. The acted like they did not want us there. The entry was like going into fort Knox, very hard to get in. My stay was evything I dream it would be., This was a marraigae retreat for myself and our friends. We accomplish exactly what we set out to do have fun, re-kindle, re-connect and enjoy the scenery. This resort was so awesome. Everything was accomodating, I will be coming back again with our children (5). I was very surprised to see the resort also […] accomodated a place for our children when we return. A place to swim and have fun in a secure and safe location. Excellent stay. Awful, the air conditioner was making a terrible rattle noise and it took the next afternoon for them to send someone to look at it. The noise kept us up all night. We thought it was fixed but it started up again later that evening. We did not bother calling again because we were leaving the next day. Been to Myrtle Beach many times but first at a resort or this property. Rooms spacious, good for 2 adults and 3 small children. TVs in every room a plus along with full kitchen and large table. Nice deck. Only fault with the room was noise at night before pool closed, awakened once. Did not miss daily maid service but towel and soap replenish would […] have been nice. Pools areas were crowded at times. Weather not cooperative and may have contributed on the sunnier days. Enjoyed all the activities, especially for children, including pools and lazy river, playground, hot tubs and beach. Only major criticisms were lack of sidewalks. Room was average for the money... Location was good... This hotel had the feel of a frat house. Rooms and halls were constantly filled with yelling party goers at all hours of the night and day. Drug use among patrons was visible. Hotel security was visible in the parking areas, but seemed unwilling to move into the building to handle problems. While the price was nice, this is not truly a hotel. The towels you get at check in are it, you must buy your own toilet paper,etc. You are truly just renting someone's condo for the day. Don't be fooled by ocean view either, if you hang off of the balcony you can see it. Ocean front rooms have the full view. The pools were nice. We stayed in Building A room 525 and it was great! We loved everything about it. You could feel the ocean breeze all day and night which kept the room cool by itself. The only thing about the view was it also overlooked a trailor camp ground but it was still nice all the same. There is plenty to do and right on the beach. The only down side to this room was you have to walk a ways to get to your room and, be understanding that Ocean view may mean you may see some small part of the Ocean, Choose Ocean front.

Hotel Parking was 1/4 mile from the hotel. Obviously motorcycles were not welcome or the hotel was not inclined to accommodate the riders.

Never was able to speak to a front lobby person. Would loved to have been able to park my motorcycle next to the room instead of having to walk a long distance. The floors not very clean.
