Rigtig god beliggenhed i forhold til LAX og super med shuttle service. Lidt uheldig med swimmingpoolområde var under reperation, vi blev henvist af en lidt smart receptionist til nabohotel, hvor der var mange problemer med at komme ind. Gode værelser.

Virkelig god service fra alt personalet, meget opmærksomme. Dejlig morgen buffet med mange forskellige ting. Svimmingpool området er ok, kunne være mere hyggeligt hvis det var mere tæt buskads ud til hovedvejen evt. sammen med støjdæmpende anordning. Det samme gør sig gældende ved basket banen. Fitnes rummet er meget småt, der er 2 løbebånd og 1 crosstrainer, samt en multimaskine til forskellige øvelser, ikke særlig god. Vaskerummet er ok. Der er rent og pænt alle steder. Madrassen i sengen og sovesofaen kunne være bedre. Et sted vi godt kunne finde på at vælge igen.

Hotellet er lille, men rigtig hyggeligt. Værelserne er rimelig små, men pladsen er udnyttet godt og har alt hvad man skal bruge. Værelserne er pæne, rene og hyggelige. Personalet er super søde og MEGET hjælpsomme. Morgenmadsbuffeten er lille med et lille udvalg, men stadig fin og nok til at starte dagen på. Hotellet ligger et par hundrede meter fra Beverly Centret, som har et hav af butikker (inkl Macy´s og Bloomingdales) og en håndfuld spisesteder. Skråt over for hotellet ligger der også et supermarked/stor kiosk som har åbent 24 timer i døgnet. Beliggenhed er lidt svært at tale om når man er i LA, da byen er kæmpe stor og har mange områder, men Beverly området er et af de pænere områder og Hollywood Boulevard og Sunset Boulevard ligger ca 10 min i bil op af sidegaden. Hotellet kan helt klart anbefales og er et hotel vi godt kunne vende tilbage til hvis vi igen skulle komme forbi LA.

Best Western Plus Mikado Hotel ligger i North Hollywood tæt på CBS Studio Center. Ekstra attraktioner i omegnen er bl.a. Universal Studios og Warner Brothers Studio.

"Great stay"
I would definitely recommend this hotel ! For a Best Western I was overly pleased with the accomadations ! We even had a beautiful garden right outside our window. "met need"
It was fine. Room was "roomy" and was on pleasant courtyard. Property backside abutts 134 so was glad to be in courtyard rather than on motel's backside. First night traffic was slightly noticable, but after that hardly heard it. Convienent location, OK price.

Although the hotel was quite comfortable there was a severe lack of information available on public transport and timetables. Even though the hotel was relatively close to a several bus stops noone at the reception desk could tell us which bus to catch to go to Universal Studios, on which side of the road and when the bus was likley to arrive. "North Hollywood location is convenient"
I thought the hotel was wery nice for the price and in a fairly quiet neighborhood. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not great. Again, it was nice to have a free breakfast so I won't complain too much there. The free high speed wi-fi was really a great + with no log in or ad's to watch in order to get it. Overall the hotel was good.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear people outside as well as on the floor above. The front desk twice failed to deliver a wake up call. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean. The location is ideal off of the Ventura Freeway but highway noise can be heard in the back of the hotel. The pool is beautiful and the lobby is nice. "Bad beginning with a LUCKY outcome"
First of all, you will NOT find this hotel in "North Hollywood" as told by this site. Your GPS will find it under "Valley" something, but it is still very close to Universal Studios. When I arrived to my assigned room, the room was a mess as it hadn't been done. I had requested 2 queen beds since I had 3 kids with me. When I went to talk to receptionist, […] he told me that there were no rooms left. That the best he could do was get me 2 rooms next to each other (without being connected) with a queen bed each. With kids, this sure wasn't gonna work out. Apparently they didn't have the key to the roll abed so they couldn't offer me those. I then requested a room with a King bed and would figure out a way for us four to sleep on it (better than having 2 different rooms). Finally, they realized that since I was only going to be there a night, they would give me the suite. Of course the suite was perfect, but what would of happened to me and my kids if the suite wasn't available? It would of been a nightmare. *Neighborhood was safe. *Who ever says that the freeway is a problem, they must be sleeping outside of their room and not inside. "Mikado Hotel in Studio City, CA."
I have never seen a Best Western like this one. It has a Japanese garden and a fabulous Japanese restaurant. I had a better stay here than I have had at fancier hotels. What style and service. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Room clean and everything...just everything.. was done right. Highly recommend.

Overall it's a nice hotel for the price. I agree with many of the reviews I read on this hotel- the jacuzzi was never hot!! The rooms are clean, bathroom is too small in my opinion, nice pool and deep, nice restaurant and nice variety of breakfast selections. Reasonable rates compared to other hotels in the area. Approx 4 miles from NBC studio for Jay Leno show & studio tour. Parking is a little tight, but free. Hot breakfast included.

The hotel was very clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Didn't have much taste, seemed bland. The bedding and towels were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. The only real downside was being put in a room located in the back of the hotel where the freeway was located. Very noisy traffic, did not sleep well first night. "BWP Mikado"
When we arrived we took one of the rooms at the back of the hotel. The door of the room was open to the freeway and we didn't feel very safe. So we ordered to change to one of the rooms inside, and they were nice to make the change. It is a fair hotel, clean and simple. Don't rely to much on the breakfast...
"Best Western Plus in LA -- too many negatives"
From our room on the back of this hotel (which has outside entrances) we could throw a rock and hit a car on the 101. Not exaggerating. More annoying was the smell of the room which the front desk person admitted had been a complaint before. The staff (very friendly and helpful) offered us another room which was opened by housekeeping; the woman was […] standing there with a can of Glade air freshener in her hand. "Nice hotel at affordable price"
Our friend recommended the Mikado. It was a very nice basic hotel, everything was very clean. The free breakfast was a nice perk, and there was a microwave & fridge in the room which was very useful. Our balcony overlooked a pretty Japanese garden. My only complaint was the noise. Whenever the rooms next to (or below) us took a shower this strange hissing […] in the pipes would wake us up since it was quite loud, and everyone seemed to shower at 4 am! LOL But we did NOT hear any voices or other typical hotel noises from the room next door. We stayed for 4 nights, and I would stay here again. Læs mere
"Decent"
Was good for the price, which included breakfast and internet. The internet was quite slow and we could not stream videos. The breakfast was in the Mikado restaurant which is attached to the hotel, which is quite nice. I appreciated the free parking and that it was just off the freeway, although the parking spaces are quite tight. I gave it 3 stars […] because you can tell they really did try to make this hotel as upgraded as possible, but its still a little drafty and has an "old" feel to it, as the hotel itself is quite dated. The location of the hotel is central however the noise from the freeway was worse than I expected. The sound of the bathroom fan was helpful but the sound of traffic was still annoying. It was hard to sleep past 5 am. The bed was nice and the linens were clean but the carpet and room had a dingy cheap hotel feel. The internet was not high speed (but […] it was free). There was a fridge and microwave and free parking, cable and toiletries. But I would not book here for a vacation. We loved this hotel. It was clean, rooms were spacious, breakfast was more than fair. Street address is North Hollywood/ close to Studio City, and easy to find, ample free parking. The room was very comfortable and clean. Front desk staff always helpful. Free breakfast at attached restaurant is excellent, in a quiet and relaxed setting. I'm one of those people that combs through as many hotel reviews as possible before making a reservation decision. So after our 4 night stay here is my assessment: Location: great for those visiting the sights (universal studios, warner bros, hollywood, etc.), neighborhood appears relatively safe (but we didn't do much in immediate area) Room: typical […] amenities, generally clean, bed comfortable, free wifi, tv was older (but didn't spend much time watching it anyway), rooms near freeway (didn't affect our sleep though) Service/Amenities: No issues checking in/out, complimentary breakfast was pretty good (eggs, waffles, sausage, potatoes) in restaurant connected to hotel so plenty of seating but for early risers-didn't start till 7am, always found parking in front of our room even late at night (but hotel may have not been heavily booked during our stay) Overall: This hotel got the job done while we explored LA for the first time Læs mere
"A little late..."
The room was pretty nice for the price. The "in-house" Miakdo restaurant has really good (but rather expensive) sushi. Liked that parking was free. My only complaint is that my 9:00AM wake up call came at 9:20AM

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They took great care of the 4 of us. The hotel was about 15-20 min. from Hollywood. The breakfast each morning was quite yummy and had a nice variety of foods. We will stay there again!

The hotel staff was very friendly and prompt. The room was neat and tidy upon arrival. The only complaint we have is that an outlet was not working and we were unable to make coffee or use the t.v.. We notified the hotel staff of this matter and they promptly fixed it without us having to do a room switch. I enjoyed the environmentally friendly signs […] encouraging us to re-use towels.
