Vi var meget tifredse med hotellet, en af de pæneste jeg har boet på i London. Flot, stort og rent og meget rimeligt i pris, og ufatteligt centralt lige over for stationen Gloucester Road i hyggeligt kvarter i Kensington. Vi fik først værelse med dobbeltseng, men da vi var to veninder, spurgte vi om de havde et twin som bestilt - og fik så det fedeste værelse, dobbelt så stort, ingen støj, kæmpe badeværelse - virkelig god service og hyggelig hotelbar og lobby. Ville klart anbefale det og bo der igen.

Det ligger tæt på the tube, både Lancaster gate men også Paddington. Ikke noget prangende hotel, men hvem kan også forvente det til denne pris.

Værelset var rent - og meget bekvemt med det lille køkken. Dog savnede jeg mulighed for filterkaffe, der var en lille stempelkande, som efterlod kaffen med meget grums, næste gang tager jeg egen filter og trakt med. Jeg var heldig med stort vindue ud mod vejen. Jeg nød meget at være på værelset. Der er ingen lounge eller fællesareal, men venlig betjening fra den lille reception under trappen. Beliggenheden er perfekt, på stille og smuk vej, og Notting Hill Gate og alle nødvendige butikker lige om hjørnet. Jeg kommer igen.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London -Tower of London ligger i hjertet af London og er i gåafstand fra Tower of London og The Gherkin. I nærheden er også Tower Bridge og HMS Belfast.

"Storbytur London"
Vi var tre på tur, og skulle dele værelse. Dette viste sig at være for lille til formålet, skønt det var bestilt på forhånd. Ved henvendelse til receptionen blev dette dog hurtigt ændret. Og ellers var resten af hotellet helt i top. Fine værelser med Apple pc og tv. Trådløst internet fungerede fint. Dejlig morgenmad og service. Vi spiste aftensmad en […] enkelt gang på hotellet, det var lidt dyrt. Placering er 200 m. Fra nærmeste undergrundsstation. Desuden få hundrede meter fra London Tower og London Tower Bridge. Og fra hotellet er der udsigt til samme pluds Themsen. Der er en fin Skybar med en fantasisk udsigt ocer byen, især om aftenen. Generelt et fint hotel. Læs mere
"Før kendt som the Mint, men nu som Hilton"
Service ved både checkin og checkout er det samme som ved Minten, 8 mand bag disken, men kun 2 betjener kunder. Morgenmaden findes bedre og prisen er pebret! Ellers et godt hotel med en fed skybar!
"Good location- great service"
Good clean hotel in great location for Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Only 3 mins from tube station. Freindley efficient check in. Chap with the name of Christian who checked us in was most welcoming and helpful. Room very good and ApplePC/TV was a bonus. Would stay again

"Great Alternative"
We ended up at this hotel because our original choice was booked for the kind of room we needed-a room large enough to sleep 3 adults comfortably. Very convenient to the bus and tube stops.. It was nice to have not only a coffee/tea maker, but also a small fridge and a microwave. And the free wifi was icing on the cake! An excellent location as it's based within two minutes of tower bridge tube station. The hotel has recently been refurbished and it shows with that just new feel and look. The staff were friendly and professional from receptionist to waiters . Rooms were ok in size for london that is with an apple tv which could be used as a pc (wireless internet complimentary) […] and bathroom had complimentary toiletries by the white company a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of full english or continental but I would try get this in a package with the room as its expensive at £21 and £17 respectively The only thing it can criticise would be that the bed was very firm and the pillows were like pancakes.....Would I stay here again.......yes ! "Excellent hotel, great location. & facilities"
We stayed at this hotel last weekend for a friends birthday. It is conveniently located behind Tower Hill station and on the number 15 bus route. An excellent hotel, the whole experience was great. Reception staff were friendly & helpful (free chocolate chip cookie on arrival). Recently refurbished the lobby was superb, rooms excellent, lots of space […] & great facilities including a fridge, free wi fi and an Apple Mac computer in the room for web, radio & TV. The SkyLounge on the 12th floor offers amazing views of the Tower and London, great cocktails & a magic atmosphere. We ate in the City Dining Room for dinner and breakfast. Food was excellent and well priced (can use Taste card for great discounts). Could not find anything to fault about the whole experience, room was even good value for money. Læs mere

Excellent location, excellent facilities! Enjoy a cocktail at the Rooftop bar view is fantastic (although the drinks are a little on the expensive side). Enjoyed our stay would definitely stay there again.

The hotel it's self was really nice, at times it was difficult to communicate with the staff as not many of them are English, we booked a family room on line only to find when we got their that they don't do family rooms so we had a bed sent to a normal room a bit of a squeeze but when you are in london there is so much to do it wasn't too much of a […] problem. the breakfast was also good(Not a buffet style though) I found it a bit of a struggle getting on the underground because most places had steps and I am disabled.all in all the hotel it's self was very good nicely situated and very clean Læs mere
"DoubleTree was great"
My wife and I stayed at the DoubleTree - Tower of London on March 17, 2012 for three nights. We had some business in the city and at Lloyds. The location was great for business and a tour of the Tower and the Tower bridge. The room was very nice, the shower was great. Very clean. There was always staff in the lobby. Great and clean.
Great hotel and great location. The only complaint is the wi-fi service was very poor in the hotel.

Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. The Sky Lounge was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed sitting outside, under the heating lamps, sipping on a drink while overlooking the Tower Bridge, etc. The location of the hotel was pretty good as well. You could jump right on the Underground or cross the street to catch several buses (one of which was the […] Hop On/Off bus). We did a lot of walking--10 min to St. Paul's, 30 min to Tragalgar Sq. The only downfall about the location would be that it's located near more of a financial area, so there aren't as many restaurants to bars to choose from. And almost no bars/restaurants are open on Sunday night in that area. The room was perfectly fine and we enjoyed use of the internet via the Mac computer provided. Only negative to the room was the fact that it was listed as a "king size" bed, but it was really 2 twin beds pushed together--kind of annoying especially because they didn't add a pillowtop or padding to the beds. The hotel staff were helpful and we were able to check in early early (around 9am). Be aware that it takes about 50 min via tube from Heathrow to the hotel. Læs mere

We recently stayed here as we were getting married in London. The staff were fantastic. We arrived hours before our check in time and was given an available room so we could change. Although we had paid for room only, we were given a complimentary breakfast and when we went to the bar, we were given complimentary Champagne. Staff very welcoming and room had everything I needed. Weather permitting, a visit to the rooftop bar is essential for great views over London. If it's too cold/wet step outside, you can still enjoy from behind glass. Would definitely stay again.

Seemed to be better managed when it was in the Mint Chain of hotels, of which we have stayed on many occasion. reception staff at check in need of a very quick lesson on customer service, sadly also given quite a lot of wrong information by customer relations staff on the current status of underground stations/lines inoperable on thedays of our visit. The DoubleTree Hilton is just outside the Tower Hill Tube Station, and is incredibly convenient for attractions such as The Tower of London, Borough Market, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Jack the Ripper Tour. I spent five nights at the hotel in mid-February. It was clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly but not obtrusive, just as I like it to be. The hotel is newly decorated and is a little cold in design for my taste, but very functional. The wireless internet was a little unreliable and there was no coffee maker in the room, something which […] I feel ought to be standard nowadays. The proximity to the tube station (about 200 m) is a big selling feature, no transferring required to get to Paddington for the Heathrow express. Hotel to the airport in about an hour all in, as quick as a cab and a lot cheaper. Great location for tourists, handy to the Tower and great for business as well being in the heart of the City. Fantastic view of the Tower and Tower Bridge at night from Skyscape bar. Loved it. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at DoubleTree. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. Our only issue was connecting to the wifi. Overall, we would definitely reccommend this hotel!

We booked a 'Dinner, bed and Breakfast' Package. On checking in the receptionist had us down as B+B only - took 5mins to sort out. Excellent hotel and great food in the restaurant. BUT... was presented with a bill for dinner which I unthinkingly paid. Realised after checking out - I am STILL trying to get some sort of re-imbursement from the hotel 2 […] weeks later! a shame as its a great hotel and would stiy there again IF they sort out my double payment of dinner. "expected much, much more"
I have never complained in a hotel before but Mint Hotel Tower of London is perhaps the most disappointing stay in a hotel I've ever had. This is mostly due to the ludicrously overpriced rates paid. From the amount we were charged I really was expecting a lot more for my money than the shoebox we were put in. Although I understand that it is December […] in London, it quite escapes me how what is very boring hotel with no luxuries can seriously demand so much for a basic room. The first shoebox we were offered had the 'King Size' bed, which turned out to be two single beds pushed together, so having never done this before, i went down to reception and asked if there was a better room available with a proper double bed in it. The staff were happy enough to allocate us to another room on the next floor up. This new shoebox was exactly the same as the old one with a much smaller bed, but with the added bonus of the t.v. (actually a computer) not working. It wasn't quite what i had in mind for a room upgrade.... We settled for that not wanting to waste anytime shifting our luggage round the hotel again. The next morning we had the fire alarms tested, which we had no warning of and so spent a good time rushing round the room grabbing our stuff thinking there was a fire and we had to evacuate the building. Then on noticing staff casually carrying on with their day, realised it must have been a test. Would have been nice to get a heads up. The room and hotel all seemed clean and fresh but i was bitterly disappointed with my stay and feel hotels.com let me down with this one. Læs mere

Frokosten var ikke særlig imponerende i forhold til hotellet forøvrig og prisen. Ubehagelig å få betalingspåminnelse i en hvit konvolutt under døren på rommet allerede FØR man hadde sjekket ut og foretatt naturlig oppgjør der... Ellers var rommene bra!

Wenn man die Stadt mit der U-Bahn als Hauptfortbewegunsmittel erkunden möchte, dann spricht vor allem die Lage in Kombination mit dem "günstigen" Preis fürs Hotel. Hotels im Zentrum kosten im Schnitt um 25% bis 50% mehr -> da kann man schon "ordentlich weit/oft" mit der U Bahn u. dem Taxi fahren

"Toppenhotell!"
Bättre service på ett hotell kan man nog inte få. Vi kände oss väldigt välkomna av personalen och deras 24-timmar om dygnet service var kanon. Rummen är väldigt snygga och rena och det mesta man kan behöva finns. Finns det inte så ordnar personalen det. Kommer definitivt att boka rum här igen!
"Som väntat nöjd..."
Efter att ha bott på ett systerhotell i samma kedja förra året tog vi detta i år. Nybyggt och superfina rum. Jättetrevlig personal och bra frukost. 150 meter från två av tunnelbanans linjer och ett par stationer bort från byten till andra linjer gör läget excellent ur ett transporthänseende.
