Fint beliggende hotel - men værelset var lidt for smalt ved benyttelse af ekstra opredning, Hotellets samarbejde med The Terasse Club angav en rabat for hotellets gæster, men det blev aldrig påført regningen i første omgang, selvom det var oplyst. at man boede på The Jewel.

Vi er en familie paa fem, og har nydt fem dejlige dage i NYC. The Jewell var et perfekt udgangspunkt midt paa Manhatten, baade for at naa up og downtown NYC. Vi vil bestemt vende tilbage igen.

Vi var 2 voksne og to store børn. Perfekt beliggenhed - tæt på det hele, og en meget fin standardt. Vi var placeret i et 3 mands værelse med en ekstra opredning. Sengepladsen var lidt lille, til de to som delte en 1½ mands-seng.

Dejlige nye værelser. - Uden udsigt, men det gør ikke noget, da man alligevel ikke kan rumme flere indtryk efter en hektisk sightseeing-dag i NY ;-) Der er mulighed for at købe morgenmad på nabo-hotellet, men ellers er der køleskab og mikroovn på værelset, så man kan selv klare det meste. The Jewel ligger i en rolig gade i gåafstand fra bl.a. Times […] Square, Sct. Patricks Cathedral, Central Station, Empire State Building og Central Park. Skal du opleve Manhatten, så kan du ikke bo mere centralt end på The Jewel. I gå-afstand fra mange seværdigheder og med mange subway-muligheder i nærheden. Efter et besøg på et af Broadways mange teatre, og forhåbentlig en god musical-oplevelse, er en slentretur tilbage til hotellet lige passende, til at få oplevelsen fordøjet. Værelset er fint, med […] mange bekvemmeligheder. Vores værelse var lidt smalt og aflangt, så der var ikke meget plads, at komme forbi på bag sengen. Vi brugte en opredning, idet vi var tre personer, og den tredje seng gav ligeledes en smal passage til resten af værelset. Som verden ser ud i dag, kunne jeg ønske mig en DVD-afspiller i forbindelse med det ellers godt placerede TV. Alt i alt et anbefalelsesværdigt hotel, med et fantastisk imødekommende og hjælpsom personale. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen, og får endda rabat næste gang. Læs mere

Et hotel der ikke lover mere end det holder. Dejlig rent hotel med eget bad værelse, ligger centralt i NY. personalet er venlig og hjælpsom. kan kun anbefale dette hotel til andre. vil vil sige god tur.

MY STAY AT THE JEWEL WAS VERY ENJOYABLE CURTIOUS STAFF CLEAN AND COMFORATABLE WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE VERY REASONABLY PRICED FOR THE AREA

Very impressed with the room. Clean. Modern.Very pleasant surprise in the price range.

Loved it!!!! My only issue was they do not have any rooms with king beds :(

Great place and location. Only issue is low water pressure in shower. Perfect if you're on your own - definitely take advantage of the club.

Excellent location, clean room, nice staff!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and efficiently laid out. Plenty of outlets for our chargers. Nice bathroom that was clean and adequately stocked with towels for three of us. Our teen son wasn't too comfortable, though, on the "chair bed" (a chair that pulls out to a twin sized bed) because of its very thin mattress. We didn't see the blanket […] and pillow until the morning, when we were closing the bed. They were stuffed into the big arm rest of the chair. Instructions would have been useful. I had requested a king bed with a rollaway, but got a queen with chair bed. Note, when the chair bed was opened, there were only about 8 inches of clearance. Coffee maker is nice to have, but the carafe dripped coffee all over the place when pouring. Also, I don't think the room had a safe, if that is important to you. We checked luggage, which was retrieved fairly promptly when requested. The young woman at the desk arranged for a car to Newark, however, she told us the wrong info regarding the fare. She said it included tolls, which was disputed by the driver. We didn't have time to argue, and ended up paying the two expensive tolls. Check out was quick. Læs mere

Recommend highly except the bed and bedding were not comfortable. Upgrade on this would be welcome and don't use slippery fabric on your quilts - they don't stay on the bed.

I can't say enough positive things about this property! The location is wonderful, the property is spotless, the room was wonderful and the amenities were well above what we expected! Computers and printers on the second floor, happy hour next door in a wonderful bar with a fireplace and a terrace, free water bottles and filtered water in the hallway, […] balcony overlooking Rockefeller Center...I've already recommended it to a friend who is in NYC on a regular basis. The jewel was convenient to everything. walk out the door and there is Rockefeller Center.. 2 blocks North is the MOMA Radio City Music hall is down on the corner. Close to all the best shopping and a 5 minute walk to Broadway The N,Q,R trains and the 1 train are all 2-5 minutes from the door. I plan on staying here anytime I am in the city....

I was in NY City for minor surgery and i stayed at the jewel. The staff was fantastic. Anything i asked for they helped me. They were all pleasant, and kind. I will go back and stay there when i can get out and enjoy the city. And i have already told many friends about it...

The jewel Hotel was everything and more than I expected. staff polite and helpful, quiet atmosphere, and near to all the most interesting sights. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

It was in a great location in walking distance to almost everything ! Only thing I thought was that it was a little overpriced but I needed a hotel for my fiances birthday

Great location across from Rock Center and off 5th Avenue. Very close proximity to the subway and bus lines. I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the suite and amenities. It was more like a small Japanese styled apartment than it was a hotel. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

This was a great find. The location is superb - no restaurant or bar on site, but there are many options within a block or so. The room is efficent, but doesn't lack any amenity. The bathroom is well appointed (marble, etc.). It will be my hotel of choice in NYC,

The Hotel is in a great location, rooms are clean. They did not have valet parking and We have to park the car ourselves 5 blocks away and walk back. If you are on a budget it's a great choice. If you are staying for more than a couple of days. I will go to a Hotel with bigger rooms.

Dont be afraid of this small room. It is perfectly designed with green and energy efficient amenities and although compact, is super cozy. I had a room with balcony and corner windows. I could have lived there for months. It was also incredibly quiet and I stay at many nice hotels in the city for biz that aren't half as personal and quiet. Price is […] totally worth it. It's a cute place, room is well designed. great location if you need midtown/5th ave and don't care for times square. Prices are fair with great deals periodically, Amenities are excellent: coffee machine, Ethernet and WiFi work properly, Bed is comfy, shower is hot, iphone/ipad dock by the bed, light switches are well placed, tv is good resolution, […] extra cables on desk if you need them. We stayed at The Jewel for a weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. The location and accomodations were exactly what we wanted. The room was small but very efficiently organized -- making the best use of the available space. The staff had good advice, and we really appreciated the cold filtered water. Our only recommendation: beds could be softer […] and the comforter should not be slippery -- it kept trying to escape during the night. We would stay there again. Læs mere

My wife and I stayed at the Jewel for one night, so we could catch Spiderman on Broadway. The location was fantastic, conveniently located close to shopping on 5th Ave, a short walk to Times Square and the Theatre District. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Good location and clean room. Given NYC hotels' reputation of beg bugs, I was really glad that my bed in the Jewel was bug free.

Great location!! Rooms are small but enough for two people. Staff is helpful with how get around and find places . Will defiantly. Stay again!!!

I stayed with my husband for the weekend in NY. We really like it, the room was clean and quiet. Check-in and check-out were very easy. I would probably stay over here during my next trip to NY.

If you are looking for a little room without lots of amenities then this is the place! Short walk to Time Square and the Theatre District. The rooms are small but very nice, everything is very clean. The beds are just ok as far as comfort.

Reasonable, comfortable, and the smallest room has everything you would need for a night in NYC. You will not find a better hotel at a more reasonable price. We stayed here on a Saturday evening after seeing the daytime showing of "Wicked" at the Gershwin theater. The theater is a roughly a 4 block short walk (as are a lot of the other theaters on Broadway). […] The ice rink at Rockefeller Center is right accross the street. We couldn't have been happier. Our room dind't have a view of St. Patricks or Rock Center but that only meant: a nice, quiet nights sleep as our room did not face 51st street. -Which incidentally is not super busy late at night anyway so I am certain we would have been fine on the main road too. We were very happy with the customer service as well. We forgot our toothpaste and toothbrush. We also requested a cot as my wife had a firend pop in to visit from Brooklyn who decided to stay with us. The front desk brought all of the items up in a minute flat. The room was just big enough to fit the cot as well with a little wiggle room for bathroom runs at night. Anyway: highly recommend the Jewel. Læs mere

Next to Rockefeller and 5th Av so location is great. Limited services at the hotel, but at least 2 bedroom apartment has kitchenette enough to take care of your breakfast. Clean, quiet, beds good without bugs, friendly and quick service. Go for it!

Spent two weeks in this very well located hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful - all requests were attended to immediately. Room was compact but well appointed and extremely quiet. Free inroom wifi, a small fridge and microwave were excellent inclusions. All the NYC attractions are either within walking distance or accessible via nearby subway stations. […] To be picky the shower pressure was very poor. Highly recommend. Læs mere

The hotel was very well represented on the website. Though the rooms were not large, but they were organized well, designed well, and seemed recently done. The location is very convenient, with subway connections to all the major subways nearby. A good value and would definitely visit again.

I love this place. Perfect location (51st & 5th, across from 60 Rock), very convenient for business travelers. It's a very no-frills place -- rooms are small, shower only. But very comfortable, and the people there are very helpful.
