Det var andet år i træk vi har booket dette hotel, alt ialt et dejligt hotel med en fantastisk lækker morgen buffet. Og hotellet ligger et super godt sted, tæt på alt. Måske lidt dyrt at leje.

Hotelets service kunne godt være lidt bedre nogle dage manglede der håndklæder og toiletpapir. Maden var rigtig god, og tjænerne var meget flinke. Lidt dyrt at få vasket tøj på hotellet. Dårlig service i receptinonen, en del skarpe kanter i swimming poolens bund, hvilket medførte et par dybe rifter i foden. Vi havde en del problemer med, at der ikke var varmt vand i bruseren. dette klagede vi over 6 gange, hvor de lavede det hver gang, og næste aften havde vi problemet igen. Alt i alt et ok hotel, men ikke til den pris vi gav.

Dette hotel er helt nyrenoveret, faktisk er de stadig i gang med at renovere, men det er ikke noget der er til gene for hotellets gæster. Dejligt pool-område, store værelser, god morgenmad, tæt på stranden og i gåafstand til natteliv, shopping og restauranter - dog uden at man bliver generet af larmen.

Hotellet er super fint, og ligger perfekt lige ved patong strand og kort gå afstand til Bangla road og shopping. Servicen er rigtig god, lækker pool område og god morgenmadsbuffet. Hotellet var under ombygning, så i dagstimerne var der en del støj ved poolen... We had to move rooms in the first 20 minutes of our stay as the room had mould and had a damp musty smell , and had no bathroom bench for toiletries etc. once we moved rooms that was then satisfactory.

a friend and i had a pool access room each at this hotel, the rooms are clean and quite big, how ever the furniture on the balconies and around the pool badly needs replacing as it looks quite old stained and worn the chrome frame are going rusty. it was a bit over priced for the pool access rooms. and when we checked we were told that if anyone else […] came to stay in our rooms that we would have to pay an extra 1000 baht approx $30 so considering we paid for two people in each room and only had one in each i was very annoyed as we have some thai friends we thought could come and stay with us for a night or two. as they did at the novotel which was ok for them to do there. Stayed in baan laimai for 3 nights and overall it was a pleasant experience. Location was superb and pool was great. Rooms were pretty good for the price we paid for. Service on the other hand was rather lacking in some members of the reception as they were hostile when it came to stuff other than checking in and checking out.

Lovely, helpful staff, beautiful pool, great location, clean and comfortable room. Some renovations going on at present but did not cause too much concern. Check in and checkout swift and efficient. Breakfast was good but a bit more variety from day to day would improve it. Would stay here agin.

I stayed at this hotel over New Years. I had booked the superior room for myself and boyfriend, and two other friends booked the deluxe seaview room (only difference was balcony). The superior room was simple and basic as expected. When booking the room I had requested a king bed, and in the 'special instruction' option I further specified a king-bed. […] Unfortunately when we arrived (at 10pm exhausted), we were shown to our room with two single beds as it was "the only room available" (I had booked six months ago). When I brought this to their attention, they advised housekeeping would move them together and change the sheets to make a King, though this didn't happen for two days. The air conditioning unit was faulty so sleeping was very unpleasant, making the room not worth the money we paid at all. The hotel is amazingly designed especially with the pool and restaurant, however the situation of the bar/restaurant (available to anyone on the street) was less than satisfactory. Every night there were performers on a stage until around 2am, which was probably 50m from our room as we were on the first floor, so sleep again was limited for the nights we were home early. We checked out, stayed at Phi Phi Island for a few nights and then checked back in for our last night and luckily, got an amazing new room on the fourth floor - much quieter, a working air conditioning and had its own rooftop garden and outdoor area - definitely worth the money, unfortunately only 1 night! We have stayed in this hotel three times, so we know what we are getting. There are more positives than negatives, but you should be aware of the downside. The location is great - right across from the beach and walking distance to almost everything. The facility, especially the pool area is terrific. This is why we keep coming back. On the negatives […] - don't expect much from the staff. They are polite and friendly, but totally useless. They have no training, don't know what they are doing and give you all kinds of false information. It is an expensive hotel for Phuket standards, but we are prepared to pay the price to get the location. The New Year's Gala is a big rip-off - a compulsory rip-off. Most big hotels in Patong do this. They charge 4,500 baht (an outrageous price) and give you little in return. They are busy constructing the New Year's venue for the 2 weeks prior to the event causing disruption to the otherwise excellent facility. Breakfast buffet is included and is good, but not outstanding. Internet is intermittent. Often we got little or no reception. Again, no one you ask knows anything and doesn't care. It is labelled as a non-smoking resort, but most people seemed to smoke everywhere. We even had a few Arab boys on the level below us smoking shisha. We are non-smokers and don't like being around smoke. With the exceptions given above, we would recommend the hotel, but be aware of the shortcomings. Læs mere

Baan Laimai is very central, we were worried it would be noisy being close to Bangla Road, but it wasn't and we stayed here comfortably with an 8 month old baby, it was great being close to everything and walked almost everywhere, it is also across the road from the beach. They also supplied a cot. If you want a quiet room, ask for this to be located […] away from the lobby area where they have bands everynight, we could hardly hear the music from our room. Staff were very friendly. Room is much larger then the usual studio type room. We would stay here again. Breakfast buffet was lovely and they also have baby seats. The motel is in a very good location straight across the road from the beach, and close to all night life. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a good band on every night. I had a direct pool access room which was very clean and well maintained.

Stayed at the Baan Laimai for 10 days in late November this year. The resort was fantastic and such great rates. I was skeptical getting closer to our booking after reading some reviews but can now see that these people must have been staying at a different resort. The staff at reception were fantastic, we arrived at the hotel around 11pm, tired from […] travelling the person at the desk got us to our room as quickly as possible and we were even guceb a free upgrade to a deluxe pool view room. The rooms were very spacious, we had 3 people staying - 1 king bed and 1 fold out couch. The bathroom was also beautiful and big as well. The highlight of the hotel is the pool! It is spectacular, it always looked beautifully clean. The swim up pool bar was amazing - 2 for 1 cocktails, enough said. The breakfast buffet was diverse and easy enough to find what you were looking for - a large range of hot and cold foods and heaps of fruit. We ate at the restaurant a fee nights as well and the meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. The location of the hotel is also great, right across from the each and only a short walk from Bangla Road. We had a fantastic time at the resort and will definitely be back again next year! The hotel was fine however there were a few niggling issues that I can confirm are pain points for other guests 1. Noise: Live band plays till 12 every night - Whilst I was not directly affected by this, I can see how some may find this to be an issue. 2. A 1500 baht check in bond fee is quite unreasonable and is not something I have found at other […] Phuket hotels. 3. Customer service can sometimes be considered lazy however I personally found it to be acceptable 4. Pool bar drinks are expensive Conversely, the hotel does have some good points: 1. Close proximity to shopping and Bangla road 2. Buffet breakfast, whilst not varied, was quite good 3. Swimming pool is quite nice, however the beach water is actually warmer on most days. Based on the this review, I would recommend this hotel, if like me, you generally tend to be out past 12 AM most nights. As for value for money, its a little expensive for what it is and for a matter of $30-$40 more per night, the Graceland hotel would be my suggestion. Læs mere

The location was great, right in the middle of Patong, but the hotel was very noisy, the band played till midnight every night so if you are in a room at the front of the hotel then it is difficult to sleep. There were small things like no clock in the room, no clothes hooks in the bathroom, leaking shower recess, leaking air conditioner, bar fridges […] not cold and no hotel directory in the room so every question we had about services was a call to reception, small issues I know but when they add up it puts a dampener on the whole experience. Great hotel, everything you need. Good breakfast, fruit, pastries, eggs cooked fresh anyway you like. 2for1 cocktails at the pool bar, yum! Room cleaned daily, fresh towels and sheets changed. Friendly staff, band plays in the lobby at night, really great performers. All in all a great place we will be back and will recommend to our friends.

This is my second stay at this resort and love everything about it. Check in was quick and easy, reception staff were very helpful as were all the staff, they just couldnt do enough for you. I booked 2 basic rooms, they were way under the standard of what 'basic' should be. From the moment we walked in the room, we were hit with an awful smell of a very old room. WHen we turned on the airconditioner, it was spitting out more smelly air and bits of black stuff onto the bed & pillows. We walked into the very old bathroom, with a mouldy sink, […] and realised the room had NO WINDOWS. It turned out that we were put in the old building, but there was no mention of the fact that they were renovating the premises at the time of booking. I tried to get moved into a more livable room but they said this is what you booked, the basic room. If i knew they were renovating and that the basic room was in the old building, i could have made other arrangements. All in all, very disappointing. Læs mere

Great location!!! breakfast was amazing. Something for EVERYONE! cereal, pastries, toast, waffles, pancakes, omelette station, bacon, sausages, fruit, curry, juice! staff at reception were so friendly!!! obviously have a slow and inefficient check-in system, but they were not rude to us. and yes we got a minor upgrade to a room with a slight view of […] the ocean, it was lovely. Don't stay here, there is much better hotels at similar or cheaper prices!!!! Rooms are dirty and badly maintained, room service is non-existent, 7 piece live band plays till midnight every night so can't sleep, construction noise starts at 8.00 am and goes all day, hot water is intermittent, dining area is depressing it is so old and shabby. Other […] reviewers talk about staff being rude and unfriendly but I just think they are constantly abused by ripped off and disgruntled guests and are unhappy. It's a shame they have to take the flak but this hotel and the service is terrible. We rang for a bottle opener 3 times over 3 hours but never received it. Without prior notice, they charge a large bond when you check in which is not returned for 2 weeks after check out. Most other hotels just keep your card number but don't actually charge your account unless you damage something. Only good points is the pool and location. Any good reviews of this place makes me think they are made by management because everyone I spoke to was disgruntled and wouldn't stay there again. after staying at 4 other (4/5 star) hotels through out asia this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in...there was no service at all,we booked a private room with balcony but kids used it as a walk through and were running around jumping off the bridge into the pool with no adult suppervision also there were adults swimming in there under wear […] which is not a good look....90% of guest are of indian and arab appearance with no social manners!! .breakfast was average with no service....the only good note is its in a good location........ The hotel is very big and caters for almost anything you need! The people are lovely and the location is very close to bangla road! The room was perfect, we stayed in a deluxe room and it was the best shower I have ever had! Excellent location. Smooth check-in/check-out, very helpful and friendly service, particularly at the reception desk. Most rooms have a little balcony/sit-out with a couple of chairs & coffee table. On request, even moved us to a bigger/better sea-front room, when it became available, at no additional cost. Very considerate of the hotel to provide (in […] the rooms) basic beach slippers, cane shopping/day-trip bags and umbrellas, especially as it rained a couple of days of our stay. After booking on hotels.com, it took the hotel over an hour to find our stay. In addition our room, had no window and was located behind the reception desk, where you could hear the phone ringing all day and night, as well as the music from the restaurant. In addition, our room did not have hot water, and the ac did not really work.

The location is superb and the pool is straight sick, but there are so many other options in Phuket that makes this hotel not worth it. Staff wanted to charge me for a local call to a tour company that I booked with the lady in their lobby. I understand that the lady doesn't work for teh hotel directly, but to be told it would cost me $1 to make a call […] that they could have made for free summed up the attiude of the staff. Whack. Room a bit old & needs to have new bathroom fittings and outdoor area furniture updatedas we had pool access room. But pool is nice. Noisy at night due to live band every night & breakfast very average compared to what I've had elsewhere.
