Kan man lide at være tæt på alt, er dette hotellet man skal vælge, dog kan der i natte timerne være lidt gadestø,j ikke trafikalt da det er en gågade, men fra glade mennesker.

Atocha syd for centrum er Madrids største togstation med hurtigtoge til Andalusien og, ganske overraskende, tropiske haver (med en hyggelig café) i den gamle terminalbygning. Det antropologiske museum ligger overfor, og Reina Sofia-kunstmuseet over Ronda de Atocha har haft stor glæde af en dristig moderne udvidelse. Det nærliggende Teatro Circo Price er et traditionelt cirkus, der er perfekt for børn.

Not too far from the bus tour stops for the Reina Sofia, obviously right next to the Atocha Renfe station and just a bit of a walk to the Paseo del Prado. It is a great location! If you are looking for good food nearby, Cafe Bar Rosell. One downside is that one of the days, we got a call from housekeeping before noon (when we had the do not disturb […] sign on) to ask if we wanted the room cleaned. Clearly, no! "Near the Atocha Train Station"
After reading many reviews from Hotels.com on this property, we booked a one night stay in Madrid. The hotel is an excellent value and well appointed in every way. Many of the reviews talked about the "see through" shower, but we actually found it to be the best feature of the room! AC Atocha rooms are well designed and appeals to the trendy/young generation for a modern yet practical traveler. Room is spacious and well designed with an interesting shower setup. Coupled with a free minibar at your disposal, we definitely felt welcomed. WiFi fees may be expensive but you could connect at the lobby for free. Very nice and comfortable room. Best bed I slept in while in Spain. The room was strange in that the shower was see through, therefore, very little privacy. The location of hotel is far from the center but close to museums and train station.
The hotel location is good. Easy connection to airport and train. But the wall is a too thin. You can hear people talking in the corridor or the TV in the next room.

"Nice hotel, a bit overpriced"
Nice modern rooms, very clean, good beds, good plumbing. Extremely courteous front desk service. Walking distance to The Prado. Will definitely stay again. Very close to Atocha train station, but a bit tricky to find your way even with a map, because of a tangle of roads immediately on either side the station. Locals didn't seem to know the street […] name. Print out a higher resolution map than the one on Hotels.com and you should be fine. Lobby area is a bit dark and sparse - not welcoming in its design. We only stayed for one short night but our impression was very good . Stylish and comfortable with a great location near Atocha Station. Easy access to airport, railway station as well as down town Madrid. We stayed in a standard double room. Very comfortable beds and nice linen. AC Atocha is in a great location if you plan on train trips while in Madrid. Not haing free wi-fi or wired internet in the room is a drawback.
"First Rate Service and Almost First Rate Setting"
Pros: Hotel staff was always responsive and courteous. Room was very modern and had the better than average conveniences. Breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful. Location was a little away from the central district but still an easy walk to many of the activities and dining or an short taxi ride. Cons: Walls were a little thin and entry doors […] closed loudly; thus the guests returning from a nights activities would wake us up. Possibly a change to the doors to keep them from slamming would help. Wifi in rooms was not free. "AC Atocha - modern, very nice"
The hotel is very nice, very modern. The bathroom is heaven (for married couples) and is not recommended for families or friends (bathroom walls are made from tinted glass, person using it can be seen from the bedroom). The FREE mini bar is very convienient, most especially if you need a cold drink after visiting nice tourist places in Madrid.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night before travelling out to Toledo. The location is great - bus directly from the airport and 5 mins walk from the main AYE /Metro lines. The AC is a very good choice for the money that is not too far from many of the main sites in Madrid. The hotel rooms are very modern and the shower is awesome. The staff at the front desk are friendly and were helpful with our questions/concerns. The location is good for people who don't mind walking a little (about a 7 minute walk to the closest metro) […] or who are going to be using the Atocha train station. There isn't too much that is right around the hotel, but that makes it quiet at night, which is a plus. You are within walking distance to the Reina Sofia and Prado museums (about 10 to fifteen minutes), but the plaza del sol and palacio real are a bit farther and may require a metro. We were on AC Atocha last December, I need to say that is a good and modern hotel, brand new. But I think that is a good hotel only for couples. Bathroom has transparent walls, that is the reason. Also, you can hear noise from other rooms, but , after 10pm is a quiet place in general. Breakfast is not good and is expensive= 13 Euros per person. Excellent hotel. Very convenient location. 7 minutes walk to the Atocha station for trains throughout Spain and Metro service within Madrid. El Prado museum nearby. Restaurants all over the neighborhood. Express bus service to the airport for 2 Euros. We would stay at that hotel again.

If you've ever wanted to experience a truly modern hotel, the epitome of sleek, almost stark design, this is it! We stayed just one night but the walk from the main reception/building to the second building was one of the most of memorable parts of the night. Dark hallways, but with bright lights highlighting modern art pieces the whole way through. […] And the room! Monochromatic to the core, but the design just works. And not to bury the lead, but that transparent shower is a trip and half. It is COMPLETELY transparent. There might be a switch or something to make it opaque, but like most every hotel in Spain, none of the light switches are labeled. Not that we looked for it... This hotel is comfortable and well located if you need to use the station. It is within walking distance of the museums. Although centrally located, the area around the hotel is quiet. There are places to eat. I do wish that there was free WiFi or even internet in the rooms. The transparent shower is a hoot!

We stayed at Atocha for four nights in middle of may. Hotel was great, beautiful rooms, spotless and well equipped. Hotel staff were helpful and professional.The general area of the hotel was okay ( very close to main railway station) and close to metro station- about 5 min walk. I would definetly stay in this hotel again.

El hotel tiene el estilo inconfundible de AC Hoteles, pero en este caso es de lo más modernos y por tanto de los de estilo más innovador. Cómodo y junto a la estación del AVE. Los alrededores un poco solitarios, pero a mano andando de todo (a 5 minutos del Reina sofia).

"Bien comunicado cerca de la estacion de Atocha"
Excelente hotel con una calidad en los detalles inmensa.El personal es muy atento y las habitaciones son limpiadas realmente a conciencia.aunque los alrededores en principio no son muy bonitos ; esta muy bien comunicado con el centro de Madrid o alrededores porque esta a junto a la estacion de metro ,cercanias y renfe de Atocha. Lo que permite al huesped […] estar en el Aeropuerto en 30 min a un precio irrisorio. Ademas cuenta tambien con detalles como el minibar gratuito aunque yo eché en falta la wifi tambien gratuita. Hotel explendido. Si ademas quieres utilizar el tren para tus desplazamientos, la estacion de Atocha esta a cinco minutos andando. Insonorizacion, decoración, desayuno buffet, estupendos. Minibar gratuito, aunque nos lo dijeron tarde. Recomendable.
Muy bien todo salvo, tal vez, algunos detalles de la decoración de los pasillos (especialmente una especie de jarrones negros con flores artificiales). Pero esto son gustos personales. La hebitación perfecta y muy funcional.

Zeer mooi en super hotel, erg modern en warm, goed gelegen dichtbij metro en treinstation Atocha en de grootste musea. De bedden gaven een zeer goed slaapconfort, uitstekend ontbijtbuffet!
