We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was lovely, breakfast was fabulous, and the service was superb. Only downside was that our TV/Internet wasn't working properly.

A very good hotel with very helpful staff. Quiet location but a fair drive into town.

Super hotel, cheery helpful staff. Immaculate condition. Car essential to get to and from Winchester. We will stay here again.

Clean, new and complete with welcoming staff. We stayed in a family room which was equipped with everything we needed. The hotel is a little outside the city and was very quiet...possibly as it was a weekend and no busienss travellers? Perfect for what we wanted: a guaranteed clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and efficient staff, close to the M3 and a short taxi ride into town. We were very satisfied with our stay, which concluded with a very tasty cooked breakfast. Would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Quality of food was average. Service by front reception was outstanding. But very isolated location.

Modern, clean hotel just outside Winchester with easy access to historic centre. Buffet breakfast unexceptional but overall, excellent value.

My finance and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Winchester Hotel for one night only. The room was clean and comfortable the only thing I would say that the lighting was poor in the bathroom. The Hotel is situated in a quite location and only 5 minutes from the centre of Winchester. I wouldn't plan on drinking at the bar in the Hotel as this is very […] pricey. Built as a 'businessmans' venue and ideal for conferences, don't expect the usual holiday necessities such as a spa or a gym and pool. However the rooms are good and food in the restaurant is excellent. As a base for exploring the south coast it is good value.

We chose to stay at this hotel due to it's location. We were not disappointed, initially the hotel looked a little too upmarket for us in our casual clothes & trainers however we soon discovered that it was in fact a nice relaxed hotel. Good location - clean, but the food was ordinary.

The location of the hotel, while a little off the beaten track, is on the fringe of Winchester bordering on the countryside. It is still convenient enough to the city center and to the motorway. If you're looking for proximity to shops and other restaurants (walking distance) you would find this inconvenient. We enjoyed this because of the relative […] quiet of the surrounding area and the ease by which we could tour the Hampshire country side. Charging for WiFi is the one negative, but this seems common to most English hotels. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. A very nice modern hotel - we had a large room which was nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel, fantastic condition with friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Only thing that let it down a little bit was the menu available. Have already recomended it to friends and would stay again :)

My wife, myself and 15-month old child stayed in this hotel for 4 nights during the Easter weekend while going around Winchester and visiting a nearby theme park. I think the hotel was well maintained, though the location may not be the best. However, Winchester is a small town and everything is a short drive away. Our stay would have been perfect […] if not for the restaurant manager who apparently gets annoyed if toddlers get noisy in the hotel restaurant. His face was smug the whole time we were there as my child kept walking around and kept making noises. A couple of other kids were in the restaurant the same time as us. The restaurant manager called the toddler boy and gave him a chocolate (it was Easter Sunday) - it was all fine until he said to the boy "Give the other chocolate to your sister and ask her to keep quiet as well". Unbelievable! That's just unacceptable for someone working in the hospitality business. I'll stay again in this hotel if I go back into the Winchester area, but I'll never lay foot in the restaurant again. Læs mere

We stayed here for one night only. It was VERY clean, looked brand new, modern, light, airy. Breakfast was wonderful, plentiful and hot. Room very big, easy fitted a family of 5. Will definitely use again. Only one (very minor) negative, some rooms seem below ground level, so on looking out of our room window we had the 'view' of a steep bank going […] up to ground level! It stopped the sin getting in a bit. Not that this matters when you're asleep, and it's not like we were spending the day in the room. Restaurant area looked wonderful, there was a wedding there the day we were there and it seemed like a great venue! Loads of free parking spaces too! Læs mere

Nicely presented hotel with pleasant staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good and much better then I expected, especially the fish, very well cooked. Breakfast was not good enough, stewed tea in flasks and the breakfast bowls, I had to root through them for clean ones, lots looked like they had come out of dishwasher dirty. Also was presented […] with invoice including reservation cost on check out despite prepaying that, so nearly billed twice. Easy to use internet including some free time (half hour). You will not believe how good this hotel is. I have stayed in expensive hotels all over the world and rarely stayed in one better. Book it now!

Good quality hotel. As expected for a Holiday Inn. A couple of miles outside town, so build in taxi fares when deciding whether to stay there or more central.

The hotel has many of the amenities and standards most Americans would expect. Some irritating exceptions: you have to put your keycard in a slot to turn on the lights - no directions for this, the water-saving toilet was difficult to flush - causing me to waste water using it. Restaurant was very nice for dinner, over-priced for poor quality at breakfast. […] A 7-10 GBP cab ride into town and sometimes it takes 20 minutes for the cab to arrive. Perfect if you want clean, quiet, good parking - the best of the American suburban hotel experience. Not cozy and needed a short drive to Winchester town centre, but ideal as night stop on a road trip.

Hafði stuttan stans á þessu hóteli og var mjög ánægður með dvölina. Hótelið nýtískulegt, herbergin rúmgóð og viðmót starfsmanna gott. Morgunverðarhlaðborðið var líka með gott úrval. Staðsetningin ágætt, stutt niður í Winchester sem hefur gott úrval matsölustaða osfrv. Í alla staða mjög ánægður með dvölina
