Wonderful

A lovely hotel that got high marks from me for style and amenities. Although this is not a large hotel it does have many things necessary for a high style get-away. The rooms we stayed in and the one our friends stayed in were slightly different, although both considered suites. They had a fire place, but our room was a bit larger. The tub was a definite […] bonus that was worth taking advantage of. We spent time at the small heated pool, and had drinks at the restaurant which was very trendy. The bar tenders, valet and front desk service was all great and we took advice about restaurants to eat at, or places to visit from all. their advice did not let us down. We will be back! Læs mere

Great location close to everything in the downtown area. Our bed was somewhat soft and we like a harder bed. Guess this comes with time.

This hotel was in an ideal location to tour McGill University and the downtown core of Montreal. It is close to fabulous restaurants, and great shopping. A beautiful hotel, contemporary suite, and fantastic service will definitely bring me back to Le St. Martin Hotel.

We were on a college visit to tour McGill University. Location is perfect: just 1.5 blocks from McGill's Welcome Center, 1 block from major shopping street, and close to Metro stops.

This was a really wonderful hotel (only 2 years old) in a great location in a fantastic city close to all amenities. Very highly recommended and would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. Friendly courteous staff.

Great hotel , service was above and beyond. Right from check-in to the time we left. Rooms were great and lived up to the pictures shown on website. Only downfall was the valet service, everytime we called down to get out car even though it was logged through our room number, we had to tell them what kind of car we drove. We loved the genuine helpfulness of the concierge / front door guys. They were so cheery, smart, and knowledgeable. On the downside, the pillows at this hotel are WAY too big and hard and the drain for our tub was broken so we couldn't empty it. Overall, the location is excellent and will stay there again but might bring our own pillows.

Our stay at the hotel was great. Two nights - we were going to a show at the Bell Centre, which was only blocks away - as was tons of shopping, Crescent street for restaurants and 5 minute drive to Old Town. The room was beautiful, we were upgraded to one with a fireplace. The bed was super comfortable and deep soaker tub looked super inviting (if we'd […] only had time to use it). My only problem with the hotel was the internet (both wireless and wired) was extremely intermittent and I would estimate worked only 20% of the time. Very disappointing when you want to do research for restaurants and for shopping at specific stores. Anyway, would stay here again if we wanted a downtown hotel and would just hope that they fix the internet problem. Læs mere

Greeting by man at the front desk was non-existant. Bartender pours drinks before verifying customer's choice. Guest room has one caffeinated and one decaf coffee. Too bad if a couple wants caffeinated or TEA!

Former Montrealer living in Dallas. We had a great stay at this impeccable hotel. Nice & clean rooms (up to my wife's standards which are high). Location is prime and can get around by foot or metro. Montreal can be a parking challenge but can always go up on Drummond or Mansfield and find parking if you are a stickler for paying parking.

Very nicely appointd hotel. Especially liked the big bath. Excellent service from the staff. Only negative: the bed's mattress wasn't particularly comfortable, which is a shame as Le St-Martin gets everything else right.

This hotel is nothing special, but a lot better than some. Our experience wasn't the best simply because the room we were put into had a fridge that didn't work and an air-conditioner so loud that we wouldn't have been able to sleep. However, after a complaint they did swiftly and efficiently move us to another room. A couple of points - the rooms […] are by no mean 'sound proof' as they claim. Not at all in fact. Also, one bizarre feature is that the 'wall' between the bathroom and main room is glass, covered by wooden blinds. The interesting part - the blinds are on the OUTSIDE of the bathroom, i.e. can be opened/closed by the person outside the bathroom rather than the one in it! Amazing planning by the designers. Good if you want to peep-show your significant other while they shower. Bad if you are rooming with 'hilarious' friends. These oddities aside, you could do worse. Læs mere

Firstly, the good: - The hotel staff is very courteous and professional. - The valet and bellhop service was extremely efficient. - The room (regular king size bedroom) was elegantly designed. The shower's glass is visible through the bedroom - great feature for couples! - Check-in and check-out were a breeze. - Prime location next to Peel St. metro […] station. However, these seemingly minor problems threw a wrench into our short 3-day weekend stay: - The concierge gave the wrong directions to us for a restaurant in Old Montreal, after I provided the exact name and address of the restaurant. Because we were running late for dinner, we ended up walking down the wrong direction around 10PM. BEWARE - areas of Old Montreal are absolutely dead in early March, with very sketchy characters on the street. My partner and I, expecting a romantic stroll, were cold and frightened. We fortunately hailed a cab who got us to the correct destination. - The concierge gave the wrong information for when stores open in the Underground City (shopping mall in the Metro) on Sunday morning. We were told stores typically opened at either 9AM or 10AM, and we planned our morning around that. Although the mall was open, all stores were still shuttered, even past 10AM. Also, be aware that valet parking is your only option and they did not verbally disclose the cost per day upon arrival. Læs mere

Excellent hotel in a fantastic location - would recommend it to anyone travelling to Montreal.

Amazing Stay, I recommend this hotel to everyone, it was my first time in Montreal and I was close to everything, most 10 minutes cab ride. Gorgeous place just loved it

Very pleased overall with this hotel . Very comforable beds, pleasant atmosphere, room appearance was extremely clean and lovely modern decor. Beautiful lobby with spiral staircase. Leave your car at the side of the hotel and they take care of everything. No worries about finding a spot it busy downtown area. Rooms are beautiful and claen, beds are extremely confortable. 1 street away from downtown which is good so that there isn't a lot of noise but only steps away for when you want to be downtown.

What a beautiful hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and much more value for the money than other neighbourhood places.

Beautiful hotel, great restaurant, great rooms, great location. ...but BEWARE OF THE CONCIERGES!!!! ..... they are as rude as they can be. Were absolutely not helpful, very difficult, make you feel, that actually they doing a big favour to you. Checking-in took a good hour due to shortage of staff. Although the room was prepaid, they were trying […] to charge our credit card with an extra $150 per day. The management should fix this issue. I stood for 2 days at this beauty hotel. The accomodations and the location it was incredible! The room was very clean and well design... I loved how they came around 6 or 7 to give a you a complementary Gatorade and water. And downstairs the restaurant wow! I loved it I recommend this hotel a 100% is close to St. Catherine where all the shopping stores […] are. If you wanna go clubbing is perfect, close to St. Laurent and Crescent st. Læs mere

This is a great boutique hotel in a great location--close to shopping, museums, metro,old port and more. The service is attentive, the decor is contemporary chic but not cold, our suite room had a terrific view and huge bathroom with large soaking tub. I recommend spending a bit more to book one of the suites with fireplace--its worth it. The hotel […] bistro bar is lively, unpretentious with great appetizers. I loved the decor of the hotel and the rooms and greatly appreciated not having to wait for the valet when we checked-in (we arrived at 1am) and having our ticket slipped under the door as we slept. I was a little disappointed that even though the pool was advertised as "open year round" in our booklet, it was closed during our stay. nice, new and modern hotel. But bedroom and bathrooms are a bit dark - poor lighting. Pillows are quite large but too firm... a bit dificult to sleep on them. Shower-bath set-ups are great. Large walk-in showers. Or oversize bathtubs in some rooms. The Montreal Restaurant has very good food. A small sized gym. Free internet which is great. This hotel was amazing! Our rOom was beautiful, the best super comfortable. The room even had a faux fire place which gave it even more of a romantic feel! The heated outdoor pool was definitely a highlight of the the stay...-15 outside, and still swimming!? Awesome. Great location too! Just a quick walk to st. Catherine street. The hotel was excellent. I would classify myself as an average traveler (I go on 3-5 trips/year for business/vacation). The hotel's value was phenomenal for the price I paid. The design aesthetic is very sophisticated. The hotel and room were extremely clean, posh, and comfortable. The mattress was soft and inviting, and I had a great night of sleep. […] The location is 1 block (2 mins walking) from the shops on Rue St. Catherine (main shopping drag), and one block away from luxury shopping (Holt Renfrew, etc). We really enjoyed our stay at the Le St Martin Hotel. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel was very clean and the room was just beautiful!! It was in a great location and we were able to walk to all the nice restaurants as well as Old Montreal. Would recommend highly. Beware that the indoor parking is an extra charge.

Stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend and it was amaz-ng. We came on possibly the worst day weatherwise possible and were immediately impressed with the cheaper valet service and also the hotels proximity to anything fun downtown montreal. The real treat was the pool, on the second floor there is an outdoor pool, and in the -15/-20 degree weather […] the pool was nice and warm and it was a real experiance to have.
