Vi mødte en helt ekstraordinær imødekommenhed og en diskret og gennemført service. Hvis man virkelig vil give sig selv en nydelse og god oplevelse, kan jeg anbefale dette smukke og veldrevne hotel, som ligger helt unikt direkte ved vandet. Jeg ser frem til at komme tilbage dertil - selvom der er langt, for vi bor i Danmark.

A pleasant hotel located a few miles from White Plains, NY. The dining room / hang-out-spot in the ground floor of the hotel is very nice. So is the breakfast, which was much better than we expected. The staff was helpful and friendly, and as guests, we felt very welcome. The cleaning of the rooms could be better, but is isn't poor or bad. Some of the rooms features - such as the tub in the bathroom, the wi-fi, the remote contol for the tv - needs an upgrade. We'll recommend it to everyone who considers a stay in the White Plains-area.

Port Jefferson i august, er en by der, hvis man skal sammenligne den med danske forhold, minder om Skagen om sommeren. Et rigt byliv, gode reaturanter, masser af musik og noget larm (også på selve hotellet - i baren og selskabslokalerne). Helt umuligt at finde en P-plads downtown i weekenden om aftenen :-) Der er en herlig atmosfære og som en slags indgang til Long Island (vi sejlede fra Bridgeport, CT for at køre videre næste dag), er det et godt sted at starte. Selv hotellet er dejligt, men er spredt over et stort areal, i mange forskellige huse. Derfor skal man være helt eksplicit hvis man vil have havudsigt. Hvis man derimod gerne vil have lidt ro omkring sig ved sengetid har man også muligheden for at få et værelse der imødekommer det. PÅ værelset mangler der ingenting, og der var nydeligt rengjort da vi ankom. Personalet (check in)var meget informative, servicemindede og imødekommende. Alt i alt, en rigtig god oplevelse - søger man lidt rolig afslappende atmosfære, bør man vælge andre byer.
Placering.
Econo Lodge Norwalk ligger i hjertet af Norwalk og er tæt på Westport Country Playhouse, Lockwood-Mathews Mansion og Maritime IMAX. I nærheden er også Norwalk Maritime Aquarium og Det Historiske South Norwalk.
Hotelfaciliteter.
Der serveres gratis morgenmad for gæsterne. Ud over et pengeskab i receptionen og autocamper- og lastbilparkering tilbyder Econo Lodge Norwalk selvstændig parkering. Trådløs internetadgang er gratis i fællesarealerne.

"Not a family vacation spot"
We checked in before noon to let the office know that we would be working late. The entire staff was eating in the continental breakfast area. When we pulled in to the parking lot later that evening, the Indian gentleman was eating his dinner and unhappy that we had arrived during this time. He was rude. "A port in a storm"
When we all lost power in CT, we ended up spending two nights at the hotel. The front office staff were rather charming. The rooms were very clean, modest. We slept super soundly and I was suprised at how quiet the rooms were, considering how busy it was. "Don't judge a book by it's cover"
Gotta' say, it looks like a "hole in the wall" from the outside. They've recently bought out the previous hotel and redid everything. Lovely decorations w/ new furniture and paint. The bathroom could use some TLC, though. Perhaps they just haven't gotten to that yet. A fridge and microwave was provided and they offered free breakfast. All in all, this is the cheapest hotel in town, but is by no means a roach motel. The rooms look nice with large beds, tvs, and a large granite bathroom counter. Shower pressure was fine. The room needed more lighting, it was too dark to do work in. The pillows were awful, terrible, but that's my only true complaint. Rooms were clean. While I appreciated an inexpensive hotel near my Dad's nursing home, I was uncomfortable all night. It is probably all of the news stories about bed bugs, but I just felt creepy all night. I couldn't wait for morning to come, so we could check out. At night there was a group of men hanging out in the back stairwell <- creepy. I am sensitive to mold, […] and definitely knew there was some mold in the air in the bathroom. Our hotel room door had two circular dents in it, that made me think that the police had used a battering ram to enter the room, at some point. The gal at the office desk was pleasant and attentive, but needed to bathe. I hope that we will be able to stay at ANY of the other hotels that we passed on our way to the EconoLodge. "Econo Lodge in Norwalk CT"
Overall good. A great one night stop over. Clean but found copper shavings in carpet. room was immaculate. Front desk help could be better. Was slow but accurate. Soda machines were not working but staff told us before we used them and directed us to a local walkable drugstore.
"All rooms are smoking rooms"
We tried a few different rooms but all smelled of smoke with some cleaner to try to mask the smell. If you don't smoke, try a different motel.
"Small and not much to offer"
The room was small and a bit noisey between the very loud air conditioner and the loud fan in the bathroom somtimes had to yell in a conversation. The front desk personnel spoke little english which was disapointing.

Great room for the price and convenient. Sufficient but simple breakfast included. Nice and efficient front desk.
"Good Value"
Am a bit mystified by the negative reviews. This was an above average value for the area. I encountered no problems; the room was clean, the premises were not noisy, there was no smell of disinfectant (nor of anything else). Just a basic, satisfactory room.

If you want a smelly and an uncleaned room the Econo Lodge is the ideal hotel for you. If you want multiple unwarranted added charges to your credit card then this hotel is perfect for you also. Customres warned of a subpar hotel experience !!!!

"Econo Lodge in Norwalk, CT"
Economical for sure and convenient to where I needed to be (nursing home). However, breakfast should be served later. 6-9 am is just too early for some of us. Couldn't even get cold juice or coffee at 9:15 AM!! No excuse for that. Pillows far too soft and flat. You could tell the carpet had not been vacuumed in places for a while. Again, no excuse. "Poor neighborhood"
The night was punctuated by screaming, loud music, and banging on the walls - various groups of young men were hanging outside in the parking lot late at night - certainly not an area for the family or a romantic getaway
"Good value"
Overall this hotel was a good value if you just need a place to crash. The room smelled of disinfectant which is much better than the alternative! I had to go to front desk for a hair dryer in 20 degree weather with wet hair.My only suggestions are to put a blow dryer in each room and hair conditioner. Great deal and a clean room. Empfehlenswert! Nahe zu New York und schneller Check-In und Check-Out! Das Hotel ist auf jedenfall voll ok. Ich würde dort das nächste mal wieder einchecken.
