Vi tilbragte 7 nætter på Avista. Rigtig dejligt sted med fantastisk imødekommende og altid hjælpsomt personale. Dejlige værelser med havkig og udsigt over poolområderne. Restauranten på hotellet laver rigtig god mad til priser lidt over de billigste i byen, men morgenmaden har meget fokus på vesteuropæisk varm morgenmad, hvilket jeg personligt ikke […] fandt så lækkert. Dejligt hotel, super service og flink betjening. God morgenmad

Dejligt hotel med skønne store værelser og pragtfuld morgenkomplet. Fin afstand til strand og byliv, dog skal man ikke vælge hotellet såfremt man er gangbesværet, da vejen op til hotellet er stejl. Personalet er utrolig service orienteret.

Et hotel med alle faciliteter samt hav udsigt og tæt på en god strand.

Lovely hotel, we enjoyed our stay family with 2 young boys. Only issue was service was a little too slow, its good to slow down on holiday but things were a little too slow in the restaurant. Excellent location for beach and up on a hill for added Tsunami protection. Really nice staff in general which made a great stay, also bigger than the Peach hotel […] next door so a better option. The rooms were amazing. Modern decor, superb bathroom. Had a control panel by the bed which controlled every light in the room; the aircon, an alarm clock and a Make Up My Room / Do Not Disturb button. Hotel facilities were good. The restaurant was very reasonably priced. The staff were really friendly. Even I only stayed for one night, the room is so big and very convenient! Very clean and the staff is very friendly. Located near to shopping market area and some bars. Breakfast is very good also!!

Our room needed some renovation, taking a shower was a hassle because water temperature was going from cold to hot all the time. The room was cleaned poorly, no matter how much tips you were paying (we tried anything in the 40-100 baht range) and pillowcases and bed sheets were changed only after 6 days of stay and a asking a manager at the reception […] to do it. On the positive side I should mention the sea view, which is quite nice if you have a club room with balcony. Kata not really a nice area. Karon Beach would be better. Room smelled musty and bathroom tiles were full of mildew. Part of tile on bathroom tub was missing and could actually see underneath the tub. Wifi didn't work. Had to wait in line in lobby to use public computers. Only bright spots were breakfast and dinner buffets. They were amazing actually. […] Bottom line, wouldn't stay here again. very modern resort,very nice breakfast,very good location close to shops and 5 min walk to the beautiful kata beach.Worth the money if you can walk few minutes up the hill,because its located on the hill.

Avista (Phuket) is generally a decent hotel with clean and nice rooms. The only and major complain that i have is with the steep slope that leads to the hotel which you needs to walk up and down to get around the amenities and Kata beach. Travelling with 2 young kids with having to carry one to walk up the slope is not easy task. Avista is a great hotel. Very friendly staff and good location away from the noisier parts of Kata/Karon beach. Breakfast is top notch! After staying in Avista, we spent 6 nights in a very expensive five star hotel and I would say that Avista's breakfast is better. Highly recommend this hotel, beautiful pool area, great service, wide selection for the complimentary breakfast, we were upgraded to a larger room upon arrival, the ammenities were exceptional, only downside the hotel sits on top of a hill. We were disappointed when we first arrived as the room we were given had a view of a brick wall. We were told there were no other rooms available. When we complained however we were given another room. To their credit it was no problem however was confused as to why we were originally told there wasn't another available. We were happy enough with the […] location although there is a steep hill to climb if you go for a wander down to the shops/restaurants. Not a problem for us but possibly others might find it inconvenient. It's between Karon and Kata which was a pretty good location. Kata is probably better for families though. We stayed in this hotel only 3 days after our vacation in Phi Phi islands-so we didn't really want to visit many places in Phuket since it is sooooo touristic but relax and explore only the surroundings. It is the first time I say that I would visit a place only because of the hotel! We stayed in Avista, and we could walk to Kata beach (5 min). The […] hotel is a bit up hills but It is NOT THAT steep if you are <45 years old!! They also provide a free shuttle that can get you to some beaches (twice per day i think) - we never needed that because IT IS NOT THAT STEEP and Kata beach is less that 5 min walking! . The rooms were big and AMAZING!So clean, so modern, with a great bathroom and free wireless! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were great, for a short dip after the beach, with a great bar inside the pool! There was also a small game room with billiards and ping pong (table tennis), which is a great solution when it rains! The breakfast and the restaurant were also amazing! The breakfast is one of the best buffets I have ever had-do not miss it! And the restaurant : the environment amazing, the food simply great, and the prices totally reasonable! 1600 bht for 2 for a full menu (first +main course+wine+ dessert). Even though we do not like to have dinner in the same place we have breakfast, we went there twice!I shouldn't forget the spa! We had Thai massage for 600 bht per hour. The room of the spa was great, the massage totally professional! Phuket was the least interesting / beautiful place I visited during the vacation in Phi Phi islands and Krabi, but this hotel made my last 3 days of vacation amazing and relaxing! Very friendly staff, modern room amenities and very reasonable prices in restaurant.

The hotel had great service and staff. Everyone was very helpful and courteous. My wife and I lost some very expensive UV protection that we brought from the States (which they do not sell here in Asia). The staff was able to locate and return these to us the next day! This hotel lived up to all our expectations. As a commercial pilot, I've stayed in countless hotels the world over, and the Avista will rate as one of the best I've ever experienced. To name but a few points: - Friendly, helpful and motivated staff throughout the hotel. - Excellent rooms of a high standard, clean and functional. - Very reasonable bar […] and restaurant prices for a hotel of this standard (ok, it was low season, but still) - Great location, close to the beach and the nicer part of Kata town, but still tucked out of the way. - Good facilities, nice pools - Great breakfast I can appreciate that the steep hill up to the hotel may present a problem for some, but you've got to work off all that good food somehow! We have booked 4 rooms in Avista for vacation with my family members. Rooms are clean and spacious. Peoples are helpful and polite. Free wifi Facilities are just right. Just few choice of restaurant in the resort and a bit steep from the Resort to the beach.

We were there at Phuket to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I chose Avista based on all the good reviews I read and photos I saw from the web. The hotel is situated on a slope that offers a good view of the sea. It's only less than 5 mins walk to Kata Beach and nearby eateries. It is new (< 3 years old), modern, serene & tranquil. We were received […] with a warm welcome & were served with a nice fruit punch and towels. The staffs were ever so friendly, courteous and helpful. The deluxe room which we stayed comes with a super king bed, beautiful toilet with a shower cubicle big enough for 2. There were also 4 types of pillow to select from to your liking. Everything was very comfortable & clean. The beautiful photos you see on the hotel website are exactly what you will get and experience. The body massage in the Spa within the hotel is also v gd (don’t waste yr $ with those by the beach or roadside).We had a very pleasant and memorable stay here. Highly recommended, thumbs up !! I loved this place so much, i got a little teary when i had to leave, the staff were excellent and super helpful. You can chose between two beaches one 500 mts away another about a 1km. Swim up bar makes excellent drinks and the food at their resturant was excellent too. Overpriced, Thai food which was good, but the pizza has to be the worst I've ever seen and it was three times more xpensive than the Thai meals. There are better hotels in Phuket.

This is such a great hotel! They treat their guests very well and is just a downhill walk away from the town. Had a great two nights here! So relaxing!

If you're considering spending your vacation at Avista Hotel, we can only recommend it! Great service, friendly and helpful staff, great room excellent pools with a bar (accessible from the water!), free gym and free shuttle service to the beach and "crazy" Pa Tong Beach. They also have a spa, but the massage parlors in Kata (town) are much cheaper […] than the hotel's spa. You will need about 5 min. walking to town (food, bars, etc.) and about 15 min to Kata Beach and Karon beach. To the beautiful Nai Harn beach it will take you about 30 min. by car, but if you're not going to rent a one, make sure to get a metered taxi at the airport (after you leave the building, turn right and walk 30m, they are the yellow-blue ones) and ask the driver for his phone number to call him whenever you need a ride (cheaper and safer than the red "tuk tuks"). We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The room was very nice as was all the hotel facilities. The only critism was that the spa was expensive.

i really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the staff are really freindly, the rooms are really big and the bed is super comfortable. There is nothing to complain about this hotel, it was very high standard

My wife and I stayed at the Avista Hotel during a recent trip to Thailand. We stopped over in Phuket on our way to Koh Phi Phi and were only there for one night. We booked for 2 days thinking in going to some islands but we liked that much that we stayed 4 nights more and decided to go and visit the island as excursions!! 2 Huge beds, which is great if you want to use one when you come back from the beach dirty and with sand and another one to sleep. It has absolutely evrything, is a big hotel but not oversize […] so it has everything. Good price/value. Very technologic, free internet, you can conect your USB key with pictures or movies and the room has a media player. You have also a conection for the laptop, HDMI or normal PC conector. My fiancée and I stayed here for 3 nights in mid March, and we were very pleased with the hotel. The room was large and very clean. The location is good, about a 7 minute walk from the beach and only 3 minutes from the center of Kata beach nightlife, restaurants and shopping. This is not a beachfront resort, and is at the top of a steep hill, so walking […] back the the room after a large meal can be somewhat tiring. The staff was friendly, the pool is excellent (including the in-pool bar) and the hotel restaurant has a good selection of Thai and Western food, and a large champagne brunch on weekends. The Avista was a great choice for our 3 day stay in Kata. The hotel is a short 10 min walk to the beach and 5 mins walking to the town, which has lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill, which can be daunting to climb on a hot day or for unfit travelers, but we didn't find this to be an issue at all. It was a […] 15 min tuk-tuk ride to Patong but don't spend too much time trying to negotiate a lower rate. Everyone seemed to be charging the same. The hotel also offers a free shuttle if you sign up in advance but make sure you're early! We reserved a shuttle at 7:30pm and were in the lobby at 7:29pm and the shuttle had left without us. The hotel should have called our rooms or waited a couple of mins but they didn't, which was a bit frustrating. Kata Beach is a lot quieter and less crowded than Patong with nice beaches and sand. To have spectacular blue waters and white sands though (as one pictures for Phuket), you should stay right on the Phi Phi Islands. The hotel lobby is open aired and quite welcoming, including free internet terminals. The pool area, spa and restaurant are also well maintained. Our rooms were spacious, clean and modern - a good value for money as compared to the other hotels we looked at in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. Læs mere

First of let me say this hotel and its grounds are beautiful. What holds it back in my opinion is the service. When we checked in, we had traveled for over an hour to get to the hotel from the airport, none of the taxi drivers know where it is, they checked us in with a welcome drink, towel and flowers. The baggage guy showed us around the hotel as […] he took us to our room. The room is very modern and kind of cool. We didn't know anything about the area and the hotel is at the top of a big hill, if you have mobility issues it is not the place for you otherwise it is fine. The next day we hung around the pool and walked into town. I think it would be helpful if the hotel furnished you with a map of the surrounding area when you checked in, like which way to the beach and that sort of thing, we ended up with a map about 3 days later. They do not have a gift shop, so if you want anything you need to go into town, which is about 5 minutes down the hill. The minibar has drinks and snacks that are fairly reasonably priced. The food in the restaraunt outside of breakfast is average as are the drinks. I guess the thing that bothered me was inconsistency in service. Some of the people are very friendly and some are not and quite frowny. We found that sometimes our room was cleaned properly, trash dumped and floor swept, and sometimes it wasn't. We had a problem with the bottled water, we got two the day we checked in but not again until we asked for more several days later. If you can't drink the water, we shouldn't have to chase down that kind of thing. Several days our trash was not dumped and a couple of days our floor was not swept. The reception area should be where you have your strongest English speakers but it is not. We needed to get a taxi back to the airport but the front desk said we would have to call to arrange that. When we talked to the porters they said we could get one just outside. Like I said there is not alot of service consistency. I would say this is a 5 Læs mere

The hotel is sited on higher ground which is above destinated evacuation route in case of tsunami. It is very clean, well maintained by very polite staff, and attentive receptionists who make a point to recognise every guest/groups. The room is nicely equipped with extra large bed and sofas, and toilet of ample size. This is a great little resort on the hill at Kata. It is only a very short walk down the hill to the lovely beach. The resort is nice and new and quite. The breakfast food had a good selection and the lunch set menu was very tasty and extremely well priced. My mum and I had a lovely massage at the spa with a half price deal if you went before 10am it […] was very relaxing and got rid of both our headaches. My stay at the Avista was very nice. The hotel is situated on a hill that would be a challenge for someone not accustomed to steep grades. It is about 400 M from the main road and about 1 km from the beach. Taxis are available at the door. Security is very good also. I got tired of the trekking so opted for the taxis but the fair is a little high and […] always the same price whether you go 500M or 2 km. The room had a two minor repair issues that were repaired in minutes. The pools are great for families or adults. The swim up bar is very nice. The rooms were clean, beds really comfortable and décor modern and functional. The rooms are very large with nice balconies. The dining room and room service was excellent and reasonable. They do not overcharge for meals or service. Room service was prompt. The staff all spoke some English. I would return just for that reason alone. I asked about another restaurant for Thai food and the place they recommended was excellent also. There are free computers in the lobby if you need them. This hotel is not too close to the bar scene and more suited to families who want to have a resort feel and be close to a beach. The only things I did not like were that it was a hike to Kata Beach (which is really nice) and the hill climbing. I was in Avista for only two nights. Albeit, it is a fair distance from the airport, the hotel is situated on a side of a hill, and the driveway up to the hotel has a steep gradient. The walk to Kata beach is a short distance away, and has waves and undertow, as the water goes back to the sea. The pictures on their website depicted the deluxe room accurately, […] and the buffet breakfast was more than adequate for most tastes; cereal and breads, rice and noodles, fruits, cheeses and various juices. Don't expect the filter coffee to be cappaciino quality though. There is a free shuttle to Patong Beach and other places, but it gets booked out quickly at the reception, and you need to book both the "To" and "Return" trips. Lastly, the taxi to the aiport can be expensive. As a guide, anything like 650Bt-700Bt is a very good price. In my inexperience, I'd paid 900Bt, but I didn't leave a tip. (A frequent traveller gentleman at the airport advised he had paid 650Bt from Karon Beach) Læs mere
