We picked this hotel based on reviews at Hotels.com, we loved the location, it was within the wall. It was just 1 minute walk to the Citadel/Wall and Chateau Frotenac. Beautiful surroundings with fine dinnings. Hotel staff were able to speak English, and helpful. Check in and Out was done at Hotel Acadia, just the corner of our hotel. Our room was on the back of the hotel, right nearby the entrance. We can hear ppl talking, running, screaming and laughing whenever we were in the room. Shower space was small, and yet, we had no complaints about this, we could deal with that. Room was petit, we got it at the promotion rate, I wouldn't stay there for the regular price. Hotel needs some serious maintainance such as soundproofing. Læs mere

My Boyfriend and I stayed here one night on our way through to Montreal, we really had a great time. Loved being down in Old Quebec, and actually staying in an Old building. The rooms are very cozy, small but perfect for a couple. Walking distance to lots of beautiful sites, shops and even the nightclubs! One heads up would be that parking can be tight […] downtown, we couldnt fit our truck into the first parking area, but they were very accomodative and provided us with another area. Stayed 2 days in a room with brick walls and a day in a conventional room, both were very neat and cozy, my only complain about the regular room is there was a vent spewing out cold air for seemingly no reason. Apart from that, the staff was nice, the location ideal, a very nice getaway with my beloved! Great location and services! Only downfall would be that we had to check in at the Hotel Acadia the next street over. This would not be such an inconvenience if it were during summer months. Definetly would stay here again :)

In terms of overall comfort, Hotel Louisbourg doesn't really score that high. The bed was quite small, and not very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny as well. Walls were very thin so you can hear everything from surrounding room. But the pros strongly outweigh the cons. It's location is perfect, close everything. Not too far from the gates, but also […] extremely close to the hub of Old Quebec. Walking distance to all the tourist hot spots. It was exactly what we expected going in - an affordable place to store our stuff while we explore QC. Staff were friendly and helpful. Despite the uncomfortable bed, I'd definitely stay there again. Hotel located in upper Quebec close to the local restaurants and shops. My visit was for a conference. The winter check-in was a bit inconvenient in that three hotels in a 1-block radius were serviced by one checkin place when we arrived in the late afternoon. The staff was friendly in several languages. The room was cozy although the shower was a bit […] small. (I've been spoiled in larger hotels!) It was a reasonably good palce for the price.... which left money to enjoy the Restaurant St-Amour nearby on rue Sainte-Ursule. Great hotel, clean Staff were very friendly short walk to anywhere in old Quebec Parking service worked nice

Very pleasant clean room, nice staff. The only thing that might be an issue for some travelers is there is no elevator to the upstairs rooms.

Totally unprofessional with poor customer service. Hotel staff seemed confused and ended up charging us $250 extra without notice or reason and waited a week to return our phone call and apologise. Would not recommend theres plenty of much better places to stay. Dissappointed.

Overall, we were very happy at this hotel. Location is great, hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. There was a glitch when we arrived; we knew that the check-in desk would be at another hotel a short distance from the front door, but the telephone mechanism for making contact was not well done and the instructions we finally received were not […] helpful. However, once we got in and were settled, we found the room very satisfactory -- quite and comfortable -- (except that the bathroom sink was in the bedroom, which was weird and inconvenient). Great location! Small rooms and a little bit noisy - plumbing etc, but great value and would definitely stay again.

Staff are polite and english-speaking friendly. Very knowledgable. Very cozy suite and thank you for the comp upgrade. First floor room was a bit noisy hearing patrons outside our door, but that's given for an old building. The location of this hotel is great, the staff are very friendly and there is valet parking available. Two complaints thought: We stayed in a room with a full-sized bed, which was a little small for the price we paid. It is also disappointing the hotel is unable to allow guests to check in at the Louisbourg - instead sending them down the street to […] its sister hotel. Registration at a different Hotel a block away. Room walls very thin, people in next room like they were in the bed beside you doing their thing. Noise from pipes clanging all nite until early hours. Air conditioning vent right over bed needs a deflector to divert cold air away from you in bed. Location excellent.

Excellent location within walking distance of all major sights and docks for trips .Very good breakfast with helpfull staff.If not active stairs could be steep , but well worth price .

As all of the reviewers have noted, check in for this hotel is in Hotel Acadia which is around the corner from the front entrance from the Louisbourgh. Something to add, all parking is valet and the valet picks your car up from Acadia, so just navigate there. Old Quebec is challenging to navigate, so plan ahead. We did 4 stressful blocks before figuring […] out where we needed to be. If you stop your car outside the Louisbourgh, park on the right side of the road (per the valet's direction), its a one-way street and very tight when buses are trying to get through if two cars are on both sides of the street. That said, the hotel rooms are in great shape but the standard room we stayed in was really small, not a problem for two people. The staff was very friendly and speaks english well. The location is A+, your close to everything in the old city. The room was also super clean, light sleepers might find the hotel a bit louder than a typical high rise just due to the old construction. My only complaint is with house keeping, it seems there was a new person learning the job, and they were not very good at it. Other then that, our stay was great, it was for 3 nights, the hotel staff are very courteous and helpful.

The Hotel is small, as was our room. However it was a great location.. We were on the 4th floor, so no problem with street noise.and our free breakfast was right next door. We had to check in and out of our hotel in another hotel a short distance away. Great rooms, deliscious breakfast, nice neighborhood! The only thing that was wierd was that you had to check-in at the hotel acacia around the corner. Great little hotel!

A cheap hotel that offers nice, clean and relatively large rooms. The only problems are that the lobby is in the hotel next door (not a problem if you knew that in advance, which I didn't!) and that there is no elevator, so you have walk up to the fourth floor. But that is nothing compared to the advantage of being right in the middle of the old city. […] Despte this my room, which faced the main street, was very quiet. I didn't get the breakfast deal, but right next door is a restaurant with an excellent cooked breakfast for less than $10. I also highly recommend the Moroccan restaurant just down the street. If you are staying at this hotel, you mustgot to PHONE CALL them ahead. I stayed there about 8 (only one night) days ago. This is an ok hotel. However, the room was pretty much dusty. The top of the bedboard was dusty, and the toilet needed to be cleaned. I got to see who the cleaning service employees people in the morning were in the morning and must […] say that they were really young. The room was not dirty. It was just those details, that the more experienced employees with more experience do see but the less experienced workers forget about. I must say that if you are staying in this hotel, you must CALL the hotel first. Check in is in hotel Arcadia (and i did not know anything abut this and the hotel front door doesnt have any sign in the front that says this). I got in this hotel, and i did not know what to do. It was late at night when i got there, and if the waitress of the restaurant next door does not tell me that check in is at another place (to where you must walk), i would have had to seek another hotel at that hour of the night (close to midnight) after a long day of traveling. Also, even though they do have a parking (located in the hotel Arcadia), i didnt know anything about it. If only I had PHONED them ahead, i would have known, and i wouldnt have had to walk all the way from the municipal parking. Læs mere

There is no check-in counter at the hotel, so you must go to the hotel Acadia down the street (difficult due to the numerous one-way streets) to check in. Other than that, for a 400 year old town, no OTHER complaints...

My over all experience was great.. The location is great right inside old Quebec it is located on the Rue St-Louis, a prime location in vieux-Quebec, a few blocks from the Chateau Frontenac and the best sightseeing places of Quebec. This hotel is located just inside the gates of Quebec City, within a few blocks of the Chateau Frontenac. We used the valet parking, and did not use our car at all during our 3-day stay. There's no elevator, so I wouldn't recommend it for the elderly, or those who travel with a lot of luggage. We stayed on the 2nd floor, and did not have a problem with […] the stairs. Læs mere

Nous avons pris la suite exécutive. Sans être de grandeur exceptionnelle, la chambre est très propre et récemment rénovée. Tres bonnes impressions Nous avons aimé la décoration de la chambre ainsi que la douche.Nous avons aimé le spa.

Proche de tout a pied! Merveilleux! Nous y retournons l'an prochain c'est certain!! Pour faire du shopping de filles dans les nombreuses boutiques !!

Super petit déjeuner, bon emplacement, chambre confortable. Seul petit hic, il y avait des coups de bélier dans la tuyauterie des radiateurs => dormeurs légers s'abstenir.

Ce fut tres agréable, la seule chose est le bruit de la circulation d'eau dans les tuyaux des autres chambres.

L'hôtel est très bien à l'exception du chauffage, qui est beaucoup trop fort et dont on a aucun contrôle, et du réfrigérateur qui était défectueux.

Nous avons apprécié son emplacement et la chambre correspondait à nos attentes. Cependant, pour l'enregistrement, on doit se rendre à l'Hôtel Acadia sur la rue Ste-Ursule. Pas très intéressant de faire le tour des rues à sens uniques lorsque nous ne sommes pas informées de cette situation... Petit hotel confortable et très bien situé au coeur de la vieille ville: parfait pour tout faire à pied. Dommage que le ménage de la chambre laissait à désirer à notre arrivée: seule fausse note du séjour.

Le plancher n'est pas au niveau et le lit pas confortable. Place de stationnement pas facile et dispendieuse. La balance est OK pour le Vieux Québec.
